A tumblin...

...a tumblin... a tumblin down!

I forgot to write on my previous post about the funny little thing that happened to Nemo on Saturday! It made me laugh oh so much..
You see on Friday Nemo was laying on the couch VERY close to the edge and I told him that he needed to be more careful or he will fall off.. well on Saturday he didn't take my words and he fell of the couch!
He was laying there and right on the edge.. I pointed it out to Emma.. we left him be and then a little bit later we hear the tumblecrash as he hits the floor.. we spin around and there is little Nemo looking at us.. a little shocked and then he did his usual growl and wanted to be loved and then he sat cuddling me for a while.. it was o so very cute and very funny.. it had me giggling on and off for the rest of the day.. mean I know.. but it was just so funny.. the couch is not exactly small and he is not exactly large and yet he still manages to fall off.. good on him! LOL

Well that is all.. just wanted to share the tumblin fun! and for those who could possible be worried.. Nemo was not hurt at all.. he is just the crazy little thing that he always is.

Woe is Me!

What a weekend! Indeed it was.. you see.. I am now sick and that really sucks.. my throat hurts, when I cough it feels like my throat and chest is going to explode, my body aches, my head thumps.. all in all I feel like total shyte! So not cool. I felt it all coming on on Saturday and really I should have stayed home on Saturday night instead of going to a 30th.. but I wasn't feeling all that bad. Sunday rolled around and I felt sooooo very much worse.. it was rather sad for me.. and Emma kept laughing at me! coz she is eBil!! Yes Emma I am telling everyone you are eBil!

We didn't do much on Sunday.. just hung out at home mainly and we went for a ride in the car to buy a spunky 4gb USB key... noice! The car ride made me feel so much worse and wiped me out even more than I already was.. but hey Nemo got to go for a ride in the car so that made him VERY happy and he got to see Emma's dad which makes him even happier.. ahh happy times!

Today I feel even worse than yesterday so maybe tomorrow I will start to feel a little betterer.. I hope so, I don't much like feeling this way.. its rather annoying.

Anyways onwards and upward to some better news.. A cat took a swipe at Emma when we were out walking.. last time it was me that it took a swipe at.. and once again I sqealed like a little girl.. I can't help it! but yeah this cat took a swipe at Emma and then Emma would go closer and it would run down a little by the bush and then come back through to try and take another swipe but before it could.. Emma would move close to it and it would run off to another spot to lay and wait for the perfect time to attack.. it was funny.. we used up like 5mins doing this.. ahh good times! lol

What else is there.. ummm.... oh yes we had roat veg... mmmmm PUMPKIN! it wasn't as sweet as it usually is but it was really nice to be able to taste real pumpkin.. it was yum yum for my tum tum! We had left over veg so on Sunday I made a fritatta, which was freaken yum too! Sometimes I just really outdo myself.. altho it prolly would have tasted even nicer if I wasn't so dang sick but it was good all the same and thats the main thing.

Daylight savings has started.. as of yesterday so now I am back to walking in darkness for a little while until the sun starts to rise earlier again.. summer is upon us.. even though there are still signs of snow! LOL Soon enough there will be too much light and that I find ever so crazy.. going to bed when its still light and wakin gup and its light.. its just not normal I tells ya! one must sleep in total darkness!!!

Now it is time for me to take pity on myself and go and cuddle up on the couch.. I would say with Nemo but he has gone to his own bed.. the poohead! Time to try and get betterer.

New computer...

The new computer (Dell XPS 420) arrived yesterday.. after some fluffing about and an initial crash it all seems to be running smoothly. Emma is rather chuffed with the little screen that is on the actual unit where you can play solitaire and it is also hooked up to various cameras so one day see.. I think it was traffic, volcanoes and a bird place that Emma said had no birds when she looked at it that is.. there are some other things I think but I can no remember. It is a rather smart looking machine and vista is still messy which I don't like.. I am looking forward to getting stuck in and using it to see what it is really about. Hopefully I can start playing scrabble again! Coz that is the most important thing! LOL

One thing I really cannot stand is the keyboard.. its a swedish keyboard so I have to learn where all the little things are.. which is annoying in itself.. and its noisy and the keys are small.. I guess I will have to start hunting for an English keyboard sooner than I wanted to.. one thing I keep doing is pressing the '<' key instead of 'shift' and it is SHITTING me! Who would think that a keyboard would cause me so much mental pain! lol Maybe after using a laptop for so long I have forgotten how to use a 'desktop' keyboard.. plus I think my fingers are too fat for the little skinny keys.. pootang.

One thing that makes me wicked happy is the fact that I no longer see lines going across my screen coz this new computer has a decent graphics card, whereas the laptop didn't have such a good one.. so now I get to look at a nice crisp screen.. and we also have the new computer hooked up to the tele so we can watch tv shows/movies etc on there.. which is always more fun to watch a bigger screen than a smaller screen.. ooo exciting! Well that is all.. just wanted to share the good news of the new computer arriving and now I'm off to try and enjoy my weekend. Toodles.

I was just having a little nosy through bebo and I discovered some news that made me laugh... a LOT! "New Zealand actor Temuera Morrison arrived at South Pacific Pictures' studios this week to reprise his role as Dr. Hone Ropata - one of Shortland Street's favourite original characters." I sure do miss that show! There was nothing like.. sitting back having a spliff & a beaut cuppa tea.. made by me coz I am awesome! and watching a good kiwi show! Sadly I don't know most of the characters in it now so its no fun even attempting to try and find it. I did once see Guy Warner (Craig Parker but I will always know him as Guy!) at a sci-fi convention thingee-me-bob here in Malmö.. which is kinda funny when you think about it.. and I can't seem to get that one classic Shorty St line outta me head! After nearly 5 years I think Emma is a bit sick of hearing "They were in Shorty St" when I see ANY kiwi actor in movies.. oh funny! good ole Shorty St!

So Emma and I were talking last night and both came to the conclusion that this week has gone by so very s.l.o.w.l.y and I tell ya I have wanted it to be the end of the week for the past few days.. its been just out of my grasp! lol but it is here now and the weekend will fly on by and then the week will start all over again.. and hopefully it will be a little quicker than this week coz I don't think I could handle another slow week.

Well it may have been one slow week but the year so far has been rather fast.. another month is about to bite the dust and we head into April.. what will 2008 make of April I wonder? What little things does it have in store for little ole me? More snow maybe? More idiots.. no doubt! and maybe I will actually see something wonderful.. maybe even go somewhere wonderful.. Emma and I are still yet to go to the Zoo in Denmark.. so maybe April will be the month for that.. and when we were there last we found a place that had boysenberry jam.. not as good as what I am used to and it is MUCH sweeter but its close enough for me to buy on the odd occasion to fill that void. And we all know how important it is to fill voids.

Yesterday Emma and I were doing a spot of foodage shopping and there was one area of the supermarket that smelt like FART! yes people... f.a.r.t! It was the worst smelling fart too.. it was one of those smells that just made you want to keel over and die as soon as you smelt it so that you didn't have to smell it again.. it was rotten!! totally gross! to say the least! Oh and another thing that happened at the supermarket was this guy went and put his basket up on the bench at a check out and walked off with this smug look on his face like 'haha I beat you!' but who was he to stop us from putting things up.. we just went into the line and started unloading our trolley and we had nearly got ALL our things out when he came back and I of course have taken note of how swedes are around here and how they handled things so I did what they would do.. I ignored the fact that he was there. Emma said that he gave us dirty looks.. but I wasn't going to give him the time of day! I mean who does he think he is? leaving his basket there and just expecting people to see it and go.. "oh there is someone already here" I mean fuck off mate.. you wanna keep your place in line then I suggest you start unpacking it before walking off so that they check out chick can get started at least and that way you don't hold people up even more! Jerk!
Ahhh gotta love going to the supermarket!! Really completes my day!

Butternut Pumpkin!!

It was waffle day on Tuesday and we didn't have any waffles.. total sadness.. but hey what can you do when you don't have a waffle maker? and I refuse to buy one coz well I am a tight ass! hahaha

I got my bunny.. after easter but still at least I got it! Another bit of rather exciting news... I also got butternut pumpkins.. the smallest butternut pumpkins I have EVER seen but still.. butternut pumpkins! I am totally excited about having roasted butternut pumpkin! Mmmm so YuM! for mu TuM! You should have seen my face when I saw it in the mailer.. I was like... "NO WAY!" You see I have been here for 2 years and it is the first time I have seen butternuts on sale... anywhere!! Emma and I tried to grow pumpkins at her brother place but it just wasn't the same.. coz they weren't butternut and butternut is the best.. for me anyways! So this weekend.. on the menu we shall have roast veg along the lines of... yes... butternut pumpkin! & potatoes, carrots, parsnips, kumara, onion and anything else that might jump out at me when we are picking up everything else!!

Ummm lets see.. what else has been happening.. well it appears to have stopped snowing.. today the sun is shining.. and I have to say it is really nice to be able to walk Nemo in the mornings and actually have light instead of dark.. its always nicer. This morning the sun was sooo very nice.. it was a wicked bright orange and just made me wish I had the camera.. but Emma had it and I thought.. surely she would take a pic.. but alas.. she did not.. prolly didn't see it how I saw it.. with her being on the train in all. Anyways it was really nice.. even tho Nemo was being a brat!

I had something to write about before and now for the life of me I cannot remember what it was.. so I guess it can't have been important.. don't you just hate it when your memory decides to go on a holiday. I know holidays are nice in all but come on.. I still have to function so my dear memory you need to return!

Nemo was up on the window sill this morning.. laying there sapping up all the sun rays and looking ever so cute.. I swear he thinks he is a cat sometimes! When I went to get him down he didn't want to budge at all and got all snotty at me.. but I didn't want to leave him unsupervised on the window sill.. he might jump down and hurt himself and then Emma would kick me in the shins! & that my friends would not be cool!

Fart Fuel

Easter is over and I went without getting the bestest easter chocolate bunny *pout* Ah well tough luck I guess.. there is always next year right?
It has pretty much snowed the whole easter break.. even now there is snow out there.. altho Emma doesn't have any in Lund.. so she advised me.. I think she feels a little ripped off even tho she isn't so happy about the snow.. or maybe she is annoyed that there is no snow there coz she took the camera this morning? who knows?! Well Emma does! lol

The parentals got us a HUGE egg filled with candy & chocolates.. yum yum for my tum tum! I think this easter break I ate a little too much of the candy goodness.. but hey that is what easter is for! I even enjoyed a easter beer.. just the one coz I'm not a huge fan of beer but on the odd occasion I like to indulge.. who doesn't? You have to live a little every now and then. I made a very nice carrot cake to have with coffee when we first arrived at the parentals for the easter feast.. I have another whole cake in the freezer for when another occasion arises for it.. bonus! I am a fan of carrot cake and I got the cream cheese frosting just right too.. so all around it was a great success! I just love it when my baking turns out wonderfully. The easter feast was delicious! I just love it when others cook for me.. especially when it is food that tastes good and there were the bite size sausages.. which are so cute and yummo! who doesn't love bite size tihngs? I know I am a HUGE fan of bite size! lol

Yesterday we watched a movie called "Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium" and I have to say.. I rather liked it. I found it rather amusing. You can see the trailer here!!

Now I shall move onto a little topic of Nemo..
We have a new flavour food for Nemo and instead of it being called chicken.. it should be called.. 'Fart Fuel' because as you can guess from the name.. it is making him fart.. and they are not just any old dog stinky farts.. they are the singe your nose hairs stinky farts! He just lets em rip! I think the most uncool thing he did... was... well he was in another room and I guess he got the urge to let one rip so he came into the sitting room and stood not far from me and let it rip and then high tailed it outta there! Little bugger! I wanted to cork his ass! & people say dogs don't know what they are doing.. I refuse to believe that! Simply refuse!
And then there is the little issue of Nemo and snow.. he makes him crazy and turns him into another dog.. he just goes nuts when he sees it and is a total pain in the tush to walk! oh and he just loves to eat the snow.. walking, walking, walking and then 'chomp' he bites into some snow, he also seems to live to lick it too.. and it appears his favourite is of the yellow variety! *cringes*

Winter??

Isn't it a little late for winter to arrive? Well it appears that it actually has.. just when everyone thought it was safe to plant new plants in their gardens and all the other plants have come up to say hello sunshine.. the snow and come and put a cold wet blanket all over them all. Today is snowing.. it didn't seen like it could make up its mind if it wanted to snow or rain so for a little while there it seemed to do both.. It looks like on Sunday we will get a break from the snow and some sunshine will come on through but during the day it will be a nice warm -9.. now that is one of those times where I just want it to be so wrong.. but Sunday is 2 days away so there is still hope.

So it is easter time.. and all I want is this chocolate bunny that is the bestest easter chocolate bunny in the world.. but Emma kept putting off buying it form the supermarket coz you could get it from Videomix for a little bit cheaper.. well yesterday we finally went into Videomix to get my bestest easter chocolate bunny and HELLO! there was not a single one to be seen! It always seems to be my luck to miss out on such things.. so Emma said that we will go and get one from Maxi and get one from there and when we get there what do you think has happened? Yes thats right folks they don't friggen have ANY!! Talk about being GUTTED! My luck strikes again! So now I am without my bestest easter chocolate bunny and heading to sadtown.

Slippery times..

With snowage there comes slippage and today was the day of slippage.. I managed to stay upright for the most part but then as I was nearly home.. I succumbed to the full on slippage and hit the deck with an almighty crack and thump.. luckily it was early enough that I prolly got away with it without anyone seeing. We all know the worst part about falling is being seen! Hopefully I can stay upright on the lunch time walk.. what would be nice is.. if the council or whoever is supposed to do it.. would actually do their job properly and clear away the snow so that the icy bits don't form.. but I do know that is WAY too much to ask for so I just walk v.e.r.y slowly and try to control the slippage. Which did not work out so good for me today... so far! But I shall not let it defeat me! I shall conquer the slippage and walk undefeated one day... soon!

Nemo got trimmed last night.. and he was not a happy camper.. and now he looks all skinny and not as floppy as he usually does with his rockstar hair. At least it is once again easier to put his collar on and take it off.. with all his extra fur it makes it a little tricky and causes him to growl.. even more than usual. Today Nemo seems to hate me.. I am sure he will get over it eventually. Maybe he is angry coz he feels all naked.. who knows!

I feel like telling a story but I don't really have any stories to tell.. I could make one up but then it might get a little crazy.. so maybe something will happen over this long weekend with Emma that I could write a funny story about. Umm so thats it.

Wow! It was totally beautiful outside this morning.. I have to say I totally love the look of the snowy blanket.. I just don't like how hard it is to friggen walk on! lol but you can't win them all and its noce to have a little bit of snow.. I often see snow on the forecast but nothing comes of it.. and I especially didn't expect to wake up this morning and have the place covered in snow.. I know it was snowing yesterday but as soon as it hit the ground it was pretty much melting.. I took a few pics.. so just click on the links/titles..

Nemo quite likes the snow too.. he thinks its the most fun thing in the world to climb up the snow banks, to eat the snow, to roll in the snow.. he gets a little happier when he sees the snow.. just like me! lol I only managed to twist my ankle a little once this morning which I thought was pretty good going considering how up and down and then slippery the paths were. The sun is out and there are a few clouds about so I don't think the snow is sticking around to party and I am sure Emma would prefer it to now be all snowy or even wet when she enjoys her 5 day weekend.. good ole easter!

Easter is such a good excuse to eat way too much chocolate! Not that I even need an excuse to eat chocolate.. although in saying that I have one Perky Nana bar left and I am saving that for when I have a good excuse to eat it.. you know how when you have only 1 of something you just don't wanna eat it coz then you have no more... but I think I might eat it if they are showing Horton Hears a Who! in English at the cinema here.. I do doubt it but you never know I might be quietly surprised! If not I guess I will just have to wait for it to come out on DVD.

That place totally rocks.. gotta love going in there... even if you don't need anything you always walk out with something.. its fun! We finally got a set of drawers to match the rest of the bedroom suite.. we had seen it before but we thought it only had the 2 drawers and this unsightly panel which we thought had no function.. and yes once before we had tried pulling on it and nothing happened.. well this time Emma was showing her mum and she discovered that it was actually another small drawer.. so it wasn't as bad as we first thought.. so we got it and now I have a decent place to put all the socks.. coz we seem to have WAY too many socks.. but that I can't help coz I LOVE socks so very much and really you can't ever have too many socks.. coz you never know what the future brings.. we might get invaded by sock loving aliens and I could buy my way out of being zapped with some sort of death ray! You just never know! lol

Actually we went at a good time to IKEA coz we drove there, got stuffs and looked about and then back home again in like 3 1/2 hours.. and we didn't even have to wait in line for like 10 years.. ok so I know its not really 10 years but that is what it totally feels like while you wait.. I have to say I am not a fan of standing in line anywhere.. but you gotta do what you gotta do to get what you wanna get! lol The check out chicks or dudes are often rather slow here.. like they totally disregard the fact that there are other people waiting and slowly go about making sure they have all their i's dotted and t's crossed but once you learn that is the way then you just stand and wait quietly and patiently until its your time and then you leave and are happy once again.. once place I can't stand going in is Lindex.. it is always cramped and crowded and the line is soooooooo long.. I get tense just thinking about that place. lol

It started snowing this morning.. it was just little bits mixed in with rain while I was out walking Nemo and then about 3 mins after I got in the door it was coming down in blizzard style and it didn't look overly inviting.. then it stopped for a little bit and then it started again.. it did look pretty neat but now it has stopped and its just wet out there with only a odd bit of un-melted snow left in the crevasses of things. There are a few clouds and some blue skies so its catching up to what Lund is looking like.. while it was snowing here it was blue skies and some sunshine for Emma in Lund which is like a 45 min train ride away.. Emma will prolly say that it is more or less.. she should know she does it every day but my time is just a total estimation!

It is a little bit interesting how we are supposed to be heading into the warmer times and it starts to snow.. ahhh gotta love the weather.. so unpredictable! Is that a good or a bad thing? Anyways I think I should go and have some breaky and read some depressing news.. ahh good times!

Wakey Wakey.. Rise n Shine.. it sure was morning time! I was up early early early on this fine day.. the rain had stopped so that was nice.. I got up trying to be ever so quiet so that I did not wake Emma.. I went to go loo to discover Emma's jacket on the loo door so I had to then go and hang it up so that I could close the bathroom door and turn the bathroom light on so I could see what I was doing.. and then I stood on one of Nemo's freaken squeaky toys! yep the being nice and quiet wasn't working out so well! and then once I got in the bathroom and finished my pee pee there wasn't enough loo paper to finish the job! So I considered waking Emma up to get me some more but I was nice but not so nice that I didn't turn the light off before opening the bathroom door to go to the cupboard to get more loo paper.. Once I finished up everything I grabbed the PDA and went and let Nemo out of the office and jumped on the couch with him.. he wasn't however in a cuddly mood so I didn't get any cuddles.. the bastard! About 10mins later.. Emma spoke and then got up and joined Nemo and I on the couch. ahhh happy families!

It came time for Nemo to go for his walk and we needed to go to the supermarket to pick up a few things to make a lemon cheesecake.. mmmm... just love cheesecake! and I now have it down to a fine art making it.. nearly as good as my mums! Anyways while Emma was in the supermarket, Nemo and I were quietly waiting outside when I saw something that I had never before seen in this little town.. I saw a police car racing down the road with its lights going! I actually witnessed police people here in Hässleholm doing their job! or well at least I think it was.. but hey maybe they just had to get somewhere to go potty real quick.. but yeah in the 2 years that I have been here.. and yes it is 2 years today actually that I was first introduced to this humble place.. and it was actually SNOWING at the time.. not like now.. no snow.. pffft! but anyways I was saying.. it was the first time I had actually seen a police car racing somwhere with lights on.. no sirens but hey it was still a bit early.. it is a rare enough occasion to just see a police car on patrol let alone actually doing something that makes them look like they are doing something. LOL

Oh yes and I have nearly forgotten to mention that on Wednesday, I finished off the 3rd and at this point in time final Dexter book and all I have to say is.. Poo! It was like someone else had written it.. it was just.. well I am glad it wasn't the first book though coz I doubt I would have even read the whole thing and then I wouldn't of read the other two books.. but yeah it was poo. Just poo. I don't know what the author was thinking writing a book like that. But I still love all things Dexter! coz Dexter rocks.. nearly as much as T&S!
So now I have to find something new to read.. I am just not sure what yet.. but I do want to try and keep the reading up coz well it makes me feel smart.. hahaha & on that note it is time for me to get dressed again and drag Emma off the Wii and head off to town to run a few errands.

Ok so Thursday morning was a glorious morning.. they rain seemed to have eased up and Emma and I were in good spirits about our day and night ahead! Nothing could go wrong today is what I was thinking.. and maybe that was my downfall.. coz it seemed that things could go wrong.. VERY wrong! ok maybe not VERY! but just a little wrong in the annoying side of life.

The first good thing that happened was we got a good seat on the train and it wasn't late.. so I was lured into a false sense of security.. once we arrived in Malmö, I was all excited about getting to have a Mocca Latte, but I forgot to ask Emma to ask them if there was any way that they could make it hotter coz they seem to make it luke warm.. which to me isn't so nice.. but hey I forgot and that is my fault so I thought I would let it slide.. Emma comes out.. and it was like at the bottom end of the luke warm scale and I couldn't taste any coffee in it at all.. it had annoyed me so I didn't want to drink it.. so I gave it to Emma.. and as it turned out.. it was just a hot.. oopppss I mean.. very luke warm chocolate.. which I really wouldn't be able to drink.. I dunno I just have this little thing where I like my hot drinks to be well ummm.. hot.. but maybe I am odd like that!

So anyways off we toddled to go and pick up the key to Jenny's place so that we could go and drop our bags and Nemo off. We do this and then head over to check out the Bluebox store and upon arriving there appears to be a sign on the door that states that it has closed down. Yes people the store that I have wanted to freaken go to for MONTHS! has freaken closed down! First it is not open on weekends and now its closed down! So gutted I was. First my coffee and now my store... what next?!?!!

Well its funny that you ask.. or well YOU didn't ask.. but I did but for the purpose of the saying we will pretend.. so its funny that you ask coz the next thing that happens is I manage to sprain my ankle a little on the freaken cobblestone of Malmö.. who dreamed up that cobblestone is good to walk on? seriously. so yeah there I was.. without my coffee, my store and now a sore ankle.. hellloooooooo universe what is your freaken problem.. I woke up in good spirits so stop trying to ruin my buzz! I walked thru the pain and eventually it became nothing but a little tingle now and then.. with the odd shooting pain.. but hey I have had worse and I wanted to have a look around so nothing was gonna stop me.. we went in and out of shops but nothing was jumping.. Emma had discovered that her shoes leaked so we were looking for some new shoes for her but we really couldn't find any that just screamed "BUY ME!"

After walking around and buying sweet eff all.. we buy some lunch and head up to Jenny's to enjoy it and get out of the rain that was now coming down to torment us and turn our good day into a not so good day. Upon arriving at Jenny's we discover that she is home.. which was cool but then she gave us some shitty news.. Nemo had gone pee pee inside!! again!! on her plants!! So not freaken cool. SO it is now official that he is never allowed to go there again.. he had been alone for not even 2 hours and he pee pees inside.. he had done it once before but we thought maybe it was a one off thing.. coz before that he had been there and never done it.. so now Nemo is just going to have to deal with being home alone in his own home while we go out. Which is a shame.. coz her really loves going on the train and hanging with the J's.. prolly coz they spoil him!

The rain was really starting to come down so Emma and I decided to just take it easy inside and plus we didn't want to leave Nemo alone again and I thought my ankle could do with a little rest. Jenny came home.. Nemo went spaz. Johanna came home and Nemo went spaz again. He is such a sookie la la. Then we decided to venture out to get some indian for dinner.. it was however PISSING down.. it was not cool and the food we got totally wasn't worth all that walking in the rain.. well for me anyway.. maybe I am a little fussier than most people. We were so very wet when we got back.. I had to wring my jacket out.. it was gross. Soon enough it came time to leave and leave we did.. in good spirits.. cold and full and still a little wet.. we headed back out in the wetness to go and stand in line.. the rain eased up which was nice.. but we were still wet and it was still cold.. but once we were inside it was totally worth it.. to read about the Tegan & Sara experience click here!

So my Thursday day didn't turn out how I would have liked but hey.. it was nice to be out of the house and out of Hässleholm and doing something new and fun.. there is always good to come of that right? I had trouble winding down after the concert.. and I couldn't really get comfy in bed and Nemo was a turd. Up and down and he kept resting his head on my sore ankle! So I think I got maybe an hour of off and on sleep in the 5 hours from going to bed to when Johanna got up for workies.. Emma and I decided that seeing as tho Nemo couldn't be trusted we may as well head off early.. but we thought that we would go to the store at 7am and pick up these wicked nice iced espresso slushy type things.. they are so fab but only this time we should have known betterer coz they didn't have the proper straws for them and the stupid store people had stuck them in a freezer that was way too cold and they were frozen SOLID! So there I was without my coffee AGAIN! Eventually it melted enough so that we could eat it with the little hard plastic straws that they had given us.. it was like eating icy ice cream with chopsticks. *blinks* yes that is what it was like.. it made it interesting that is for sure.

We finally arrived home and showered and had some breaky and then jumped on the couch and watched some tele.. I nodded off a little.. and I say a little coz Emma has this nasty little habit of always waking me up when I am asleep! We did nothing special but rested for most of the day, watching a few things, going foodage shopping coz we had like nothing and yeah thats about all really.. I headed to bed early thinking that Emma would be watching some Swedish thing on the tele which turned out to be wrong so I went to bed for nothing.. or well I was tired so I actually drifted off pretty quick.. I think I only got like 2 games of Solitaire done before I fell asleep still holding the PDA! lol Go me!

Tegan & Sara!

Fan-freaken-tastic! The Tegan and Sara concert was good... good... goooood! I had a really good time and came out rather pleased. Chuffed.
It rained and we got drenched before so we were a little on the rather wet side when we entered but once it was over we were dry and the rain had stopped and that my friends made me smile even more.. of course I was smiling rather large from the concert.

While standing in line before being allowed in Tegan walked right passed me.. I was so excited about it that I lost my mind and didn't tell Emma so she missed her.. or well she got to see her back before she disappeared.. but hey you get that on the big jobs! Also while standing in line of course we were standing behind donkeyfucks, who chain smoked and pushed about and many many times knocked me in the boob.. at one point I had an opportunity to take the little donkeyfucks wallet so that she couldn't be let in.. but my good streak won through and I left it be. Those donkeyfucks were so annoying and I tell ya.. it made time stand still! One little thing that made me laugh while standing in line... was the fact that there was this girl standing behind us who looked all of 12 and ever so lonely! I know that shouldn't make me laugh but she didn't look like she should be there.. and especially alone.. once we were in tho I didn't see her once so maybe she hooked up with peeps in there or something.

Once we were in.. it was nice to get out of the wet jacket and grab a seat and sit back and just wait for the place to fill up and get rowdy! Altho it didn't get that rowdy.. it was actually rather good and it was a rather diverse crowd.. like I even saw an older bald man.. which is something I didn't think I would see.. but hey they do make some great sounds. The place filled up slowly but surely and it was rather interesting.. I like watching people.. they are rather interesting creatures. There was this one guy who walked on past us and just as he did Emma said something to me and he spun around and gave her this really creepy smile.. Emma however missed it completely but I saw it and laughed.. I reckon what happened was he heard her speak English to me and that is like totally unusual so he just had to check it out.. he was wicked creepy tho but it was funny as. It was good fun sitting back and just watching listening to some sounds.. not that either band had started playing yet but hey.. it was only a matter of time.

Before the supporting act, Emma checked out the merchandise and picked up a couple of Tee's and Badges.. which totally ROCK! We each got a tee and they would of been even wickeder if we had of got them to sign em.. but alas I was not that lucky to actually get to meet them.. totally saddened me but it didn't stop me from having a wicked night.

The supporting act was Northern State.. they were.. umm.. well to be nice.. just not my cuppa tea. I am not really into rappacrappa but hey I am sure those who like that sort of stuff would totally get into them.. they were at least amusing when they weren't singing their rappacrappa. All in all they weren't too bad but I wouldn't want to listen to them ever again but like I said that is coz they just ain't my cuppa tea! They did however get a few people dancing who were close to me, which I found highly entertaining.. there was this one girl who would dance.. and dance.. and dance some more.. but she was never actually any good at dancing along with the music.. which is always fun to watch!

Actually something that I really don't understand is.. people who go to concerts just to suck freaken face! I mean HELLO! what is the point of that? I thought going to concerts was to enjoy the artist on stage! If you want to suck face.. go home and chuck on the cd and that way people don't have to see you looking really horrible sucking face. There was this one couple who stood right in front of us for some part of it.. who would only suck face.. I don't think I ever actually saw them NOT sucking face.. and it was just gross. Maybe I am a prude but I don't like to see it.. I think there is a time and a place for everything.. I can understand the odd kiss and maybe standing there both facing the stage with one person behind the other enjoying whats happening on stage.. or even just holding hands and arm around shoulder or whatever.. but sucking face.. COME ON! go get a freaken room already! My pretty little eyes don't need to see such nasty!

When Tegan and Sara took the stage it was like .. *poof* and the people appeared! It was nuts.. there was a little bit of breathing room before they took the stage but once they were there and in a split second it was a little less than breathing room.. but it was all gooood. They came on and got straight into it.. blatting out songs and I was starting to think that we were gonna get any stories.. which is something that they do.. so after about half a dozen songs or so.. I decided I would do something that I normally wouldn't do.. but I wanted at least one darn story.. so I yelled out... "Tell Us A Story?!" which apparently embarrassed Emma and it seemed like they didn't hear me and just went on with another song and then another... and then they story came and I was like YaY! GO GREEN! LOL The story was about Sara wearing green cords to a smashing pumpkins concert and the ass was glow in the dark.. totally funny! and then when Tegan finished telling the story she said.. "and that was a story for ya" so I am thinking that I was heard and that was directed at me.. and I don't care what anyone says.. it was MINE!

Which brings me to another moment that I shared with Tegan while they sung Speak Slow.. our eyes locked.. she looked directly at me and it was special.. ok well I know she probably couldn't see me at all.. but you gotta take these little moments and it was totally like we were looking at each other.. and if she had actually seen me then I would feel a little stink coz well.. I just KNOW I had the goofiest look on my face! but hey thats all cool.. coz we had a moment! it was all mine! and we had another eye locking moment a little later on too.. ok so the eyes weren't locked but you know what I mean.. we had moments dang nabbit! I ain't giving them up for no-one! LOL

They finished up at around 11:30pm and Emma and I hung around for a bit, Emma had some water and I had a Beam & Ale.. it has been so very long and it was so very nice.. it really is my drink of choice.. nothing like Jim Beam & Ginger Ale with Ice to end an awesome evening. Sadly Tegan & Sara didn't come out to join us.. but all was not lost coz Emma and I were happy with just being there and having a good time and the crowd wasn't too bad which is always a bonus.. you get the token donkeyfucks but all in all it was a good crowd which is good coz I have this thing about personal space.. don't be getting in mine!

Emma and I enjoyed the cool walk home.. or well back to Jenny's place, having a good ole chat about the wicked night we had just had. It is something that I can't wait to do again and next time they are in Sweden.. we are going to go to ALL of their concerts! HA there Emma it is now in print.. so you better not re-neg! :P

Yippee Skippee but I ain't no hippee! lol The rain has stayed put for the whole day of Thursday but according to the forecast it is clear skies from 6pm.. so maybe.. just MAYBE I may have picked up some luck and it wont be raining at the actual concert and that will have me jumping for joy.. well ok maybe I wont jump for joy coz I am way to cool for that! but you get my drift yeah? I do hope I have a good time and that there aren't going to be a punch of pushy morons..

So ummm, today I didn't do too much.. its a gloomy miserable day out there. I did however do some washing.. and got very annoyed that the duvet cover had managed while in the wash to turn itself back from being inside out.. which is rather annoying when it comes time to put the cover on the actual duvet.. one extra bit of fluffing about that I don't like to deal with! Once it was all done and looking nice and smelling fresh, I just wanted to jump on in.. but of course I was all sweaty and gross.. not from putting making the bed but from biking before I made the bed.. and now that I am all showered and fresh the bed isn't as inviting! so typical! Oh and it appears that I have a blister on my toe and each and every dang nabbit time I wriggle my toes I feel it and it bothers me.. at least its not one of those sore blisters in a spot where it is always aggravated. I guess I am blessed with some small miracles! lol

I am having wicked wicked cravings today! Pizza! Chocolate! Soft drink! Gloria Jeans Mocca Truffle! You name it and it appears that at some point my mind just goes nuts for it... Mmm nuts.. honey roasted peanuts! Mmmmm! Cravings like this are bad bad baaaaaaaaaaaad! I think I might grab a Kex from the cupboard and go and read a little.. that should occupy my little brain for a while...

Today has not been an overly exciting day. Nemo seems to be snubbing me.. maybe I have done something to offend him? you never know as he is a testy little bugger. Me.. well I have found myself being a little melancholic today.. you know how you just have one of those days where nothing seems to go the way you want it, or even that you should have got out of bed, or just anything really.. so I appear to be having one of those days where my thoughts are over running my mind.. if I was a drinker I would probably be drunk right now just so that I think and do nothing.. I don't even think I could do that right today. Ah who gives! It appears to be that time again.. the exercise bike is calling...

Ahhh good ole relaxing Sunday, we have had a weekend with a few interesting things happen.. what are these things you say? well how about I tell you... bit by bit!

Maybe the fist thing I shall start of with is something that happened today coz well... I think it is the funniest thing. Emma and I went to go and feed the ducks coz we noticed yesterday that they were back in full force.. yesterday we got to see a duck do a full of skid in the water.. it was pretty cool.. but that wasn't the funny thing I wanna tell you.. what I wanted to say was...
We went to go and feed the ducks some freshly baked breadmaker bread that I had made special for them and once they had finished all eating, Emma and I were treated to a lovely show of duck porn.. yes I guess my special bread made then a little randy! So anyways it was pretty funny.

Then when we were coming up the stairs after feeding the ducks, Nemo thought he would give us something more to laugh about.. I laughed so hard that I had trouble walking up the stairs.. I laughed more than Emma prolly coz I had a much better view of what happened.. so what happened was.. Nemo tried to be a starfish on the stairs.. it was really one of those moments where you just wish that you had a video camera.

Now moving back and on to Friday night where I made the bestest of the best pancake batter! I am such a freaken legend! yes I am not afraid to admit it! Now if I could only learn to flip pancakes! It is something that I have never been any good at.. but thats ok coz that is Emma's job so all I have to do is keep her around!

Umm, lets see on Saturday we did so much walking that I actually managed to get a blister and I didn't even have new shoes on! So uncool! Although it was kinda nice to be spending the time walking with someone other than being alone.. walking alone is rather boring and Nemo isn't much conversation.. I don't care what anyone else says on that matter.. he really isn't! lol
On Saturday we also watched the Dixie Chicks Doco 'Shut Up & Sing' and I have to say it wasn't too shabby and to be honest I can't believe how crazy the Americans went over a little bit of Free Speech but I guess Americans are odd like that.. you know going on and on about it but not actually willing to accept that everyone else has their own opinions and are allowed to verbalise them.. I believe Bush is an idiot & a dumb fuck, and if I was from Texas I would also be embarrassed that he was from there.

Ok, so the countdown has actually begun until Emma and I pack up and head off to.. the Tegan & Sara concert on Thursday! Wooohoooo *does a little happy dance* so only 4 sleeps until we get to see them live and looking hot! and of course singing some wicked songs! Also I get the added fun of being in Malmö on a weekDAY! Exciting stuffs! Maybe we can go and check out the bluebox store.. which is only open on weekdays.. so annoying! What was more annoying was the last time Emma had a weekday off the bloody store was closed down for a spruce up!

Oh yes.. I nearly forgot.. one of our fish died on Saturday.. it was very sad. So second generation Bastard RIP. Well I think that shall be the end of my little ramble today but I shall leave you with a quote from 'Shut Up & Sing'

Once again it is good ole Friday.. the place is clean and tidy and all the washing is done.. its a real nice feeling to know that the place is all spick & span.. that is until Emma gets home.. then things will change! lol Actually I should be that harsh.. by Sunday it wont be spick & span anymore and Nemo will be partly to blame. Of course I will take none of the blame!

Speaking or well writing of Nemo.. I gave him a brush and a bath yesterday and he didn't much like me for it.. but it was so totally worth it coz he smells so much betterer and he is wicked soft! Just love that soft doggy fur feeling! I tried to slick down the fur on his head today coz it was all schuwhip.. hmm.. all over the place and well it just looked dicky.. but as it turned out no matter what I tried to do it just went back that way.. I even tried giving him a part and brushing it flat but it still started to go all wonky.. then I brushed it back and flattened it completely but then it just looked like he had pig tales coz of his ears.. so I ended up just messing it up and letting it behave the way it wanted to.. afterall he is a dog and his fur doesn't have to be perfect... right?

This week seems to have flown on by and I really don't have anything to show for it.. it has been a pretty boring week.. just the usual things have annoyed me.. dare I mention glass again! oh and a cop tried to run me over on the crossing.. ok he didn't try but I guess he thought he had the right of way even tho I was already walking on it? you know it is bad enough that you hardly ever see any cops but when you do they aren't doing their job or they are breaking the law themselves! oh and another thing that annoyed me today.. I just don't understand some peoples logics! So anyways I am walking along with Nemo and I see this strange looking girl who was on the opposite side of the footpath trying to walk in the godawful high heals.. prolly was the first time she wore them out so she was walking a bit weird to be polite.. so I just looked away coz I didn't want to laugh at her coz that would be rude right? so yeah I stick my head down and concentrate on Nemo sniffing along the hedge thingo.. and then WHAM! I see those godawful heals walking directly at me and I'm thinking WTF? you were on the other side of the footpath so what are you doing here.. so I stick my head up and look directly at her and she looks at me with this look on her face like I am in her way.. so I just stop walking and Nemo does his piss dribble thing and just as I am about to say to her.. "what the fuck is your problem?" when she sidesteps and walks around me.. you really have to wonder what was going on in that crazy little brain of hers! *shakes head*

Cycling nowhere..

The pistol has sounded and this month has so far taken a speedy lead and swiftly catching up to the next month.. already day 4 and I am left wondering what happened to day 2 & 3.. did they feel they had no chance and just dropped out? I guess we will never know.. lol

This morning my walk with Nemo left me wanting to kick him right up the bum.. but alas I did no such thing.. because of course I am loving.. yes folks I really am! Anyways he took it upoon himself to sniff and try and piss on anything and everything.. it got to the point where he was still cocking his leg to try and piss but not even dribbles were coming out! He even decided that because I stop and give him a little grace when he poops that he would do the whole 'pooping but really I'm sniffing.. she will never know!' He is such a shit. Right now he is sleeping soundly in his bed.. that was however after he sat and watched me on the exercise bike with a big WTF?? look on his face.. I guess he couldn't work it out.. it made me laugh anyways and its nice for some light entertainment while cycling nowhere.

It was or well still is a bit chilly outside.. even inside as I sit here with shorts and a cardy.. but the sky is beautifully blue so one can't complain about the cold when it is so pretty out there. Bonus is that there is no rain.. I got rained on yesterday and I didn't much enjoy it.
It really really is totally coming into lighter times and soon enough I will be walking Nemo at 5:30am and the sun will be shining and it will be semi-warm.. which is always much better than it being dark and cold.. but one downside to the lighter warmer times here is that it doesn't get dark until wicked late and I like my night time to be dark! But you can't win em all!

Now I feel it is time for breaky so I shall go and make mine and then wake the grumpster Nemo up for his... ooo good times! If I could palm that job off to anybody else I sure would!

So another month down in 2008. This year seems to be going as quickly as last year.. I am still not sure if that is a good thing.. but hey not much I can do about it until I learn how to slow time.. which I doubt will ever happen.. so for the time being I will have to stick to time skipping on by. In like 2 weeks I will be in Malmö watching Tegan & Sara.. I would like to fast forward to then and then slow it down once I am there! lol

Today is a wet rainy day.. one would think that I was back in Wellington! but of course we still manage to make good of the day and have a look around town and pick up a few things for my nephews oh and we picked up the funniest, coolest, cutest, ugliest thing for Amy for easter.. its one of those gifts where you just wish that you could be there when they see it for the very first time! Oh its going to be so classic! So anyways after we did what we needed and wanted to do we came home and watched a movie.. Alvin & the Chipmunks! It wasn't a top quality movie but it had some really good moments.. it was better than I actually expected so that is the main thing. While watching this movie.. Emma decided to be ever so loving and give me a hickey on my forehead.. not a large one.. and not an intentional one but a hickey all the same! Totally uncool and if I didn't didn't love her I would so have kicked her hard in the shins!

Now Emma is in the bath and I am gonna toddle off and cuddle up with Nemo and finish my book, I have been a bit slack and not read as much as I should have this week.
