Nemo and I are walking along minding our own business.. as we usually do on our walks.. when all of a sudden I hear "HUNDEN" and then the sound of little feets rushing up the hill.. I look over to see about 10 little kids.. probably around the age of say 3-4 all running towards Nemo and their minders yelling at them to stop and chasing them also.. and as you can imagine all this excitement got Nemo very excited and he seemed ever so thrilled that a bunch of brats wanted to play with him so he was pulling hard and trying to get to them.. I however was not thrilled at the thought of having to fend off all these brats so I pulled him and quickly walked off as fast as I could.. which made a few of the kids sad, or maybe they just got really told off I dunno.. but I heard some tears and you know how it goes.. once one starts they all start.. as I got further and further away I heard them less and less and eventually Nemo found something else to excite him! Sometimes I like the fact that he is so easily amused.. distracted..

Bookeded!
It is DONE! The train tickets are booked.. it was an interesting tale of events to finally get to there but we got there.. so 6th July off we toddle on our hiking adventure.. hopefully to not get lost and poop in nature! good times ahead yes? I know you all wanna join us.. its the pooping in nature that really seals the deal huh? lol Now all we have to do is round up all the gear we need.. and maybe do a few little day hikes to get used to it.. learn how to use a compass.. but hey I gots like 4 months to get that all sorted so all will be good in the hood.. or forest or whatever.. it will just be good!
Speaking of good.. I have finished the LCD!! and for dinner tonight to celebrate 8 weeks of goodness we are going to have a nice thai vegetable red curry.. its take out but still sorta healthy.. better than maccas that is for sure!

Typical!
So in very typical Jo style.. it seems that it wasn't so seamless purchasing the tent as yesterday Emma gets the phonecall to say that they are out of stock! Coz you see they have a brilliant (can you see my eyes roll?) system that doesn't say that things are out of stock UNTIL the next person actually goes to purchase that item.. in what universe does that make any sense?
So now we are left waiting to hear back how long it is going to be until they have them in stock again.. coz surprise surprise they are on back order! & if its going to be too long then I guess its back to the drawing board and trying to find another tent that isn't too expensive that is ideal.
Then we have the issue of the train we wanted to catch not having any seats left and its like 4 months before we wanna go! but luckily we, and by we I mean Emma.. have found another route which seems like it is going to be ideal and we get more pee pee break stops for the little fella and as an added bonus it is going to be much cheaper! SCORE! We were considering hiring a car but that would cost more than the train in just hire charges and then we have petrol on top of that.. ouch!
Nothing can ever be simple in the land of Jo! but I guess that adds to the fun yes? I just hope that my Sunday brunch of strawberries & creamcheese french toast easy! ooo I really can't wait! Sunday here I come! YuM! The things that excite me huh?

Annoyed!
Yet another week has gone by with just the blink of an eye it seems.. what is there to say about the week that I just had.. well it was full of coldness, wetness, snowness and not to mention a little bit of stress! coz after all.. what is a week without stress!
I discovered that NZ are rip off bastards when it comes to renewing ones passports.. not only does it cost twice as much as when I first got it 10 years ago but now it only lasts for 5 years.. as I read in the forms! 5 years is a STUPID length of time for a passport and doesn't make it worthwhile filling out all the stupid questions!! & not to mention that I have to find someone who is not related to me who has a current NZ passport to fill out the witness section! so annoyed! It's bloody easier and less questions to apply for Swedish citizenship!! Go figure!
And don't get me started on Australia and their stupid same sex couples aren't allowed to apply for this visa for $200 that lasts 5 years.. instead you can apply for this visa that is $1400 that lasts only 2 years! seriously you fucking wankers.. get your head screwed on coz that my friend is classed as discrimination! I hope that by the time we start to really plan to move back that it has changed.. and I am hoping by starting the fight now that it will actually happen.. as I have sent off a couple of emails already to start the bouncy ball bouncing.. I have got nothing but time you greedy pricks!
I get a little heated and such with this sort of thing coz it is simply not right but then I guess we do live in a small minded world with too many morons making the decisions.. sterilize stupid people! Like people who moan about having money problems and then go out and buy a new car.. do they not realise that that is only going to add to it?
On a much brighter note.. coz afterall we do need some good news.. Emma and I have nearly finished the LCD and by nearly finished I really do mean that.. come Friday morning we don't have to watch what we eat... too closely.. coz afterall we still want to eat healthy-like.. but we also want to be able to have yummy baked goods from me me me! I lost around 9kg this time on it, which is pretty good considering so I am a bit happy as it means I haven't totally wasted the past 2 months watching what I eat! & not eating cake! Mmmm cake!
We purchased the tent, sleeping bags and outdoor kitchen for our hiking trip and so now it really all does seem official that we are going.. good times! 10 days of total grubbyness coming up in the summer!! No doubt as soon as it arrives, Emma is going to set it up inside.. coz the weather is far too rubbish to be setting it up outside and I sure as heck don't fancy cleaning it! I do enough cleaning and speaking of cleaning I should get to it!

Ruffwear!
Nemo's spunky new back pack arrived on Friday!

The actual side packs are able to come off so that he is left just wearing the harness and inside the side packs are small bladders to hold water as well, just incase we need/want him to carry his own water too! if only it didn't also turn into a small doggy tent then he would be totally set for the hiking trip! lol I must say tho it is pretty nifty! Once the weather gets a little better we will head off for morning walks and have him carry our breakfast! Coz we have to get him used to carrying some weight before we go hiking and he has to carry his own foodage!
The weekend was pretty laxed.. cold so we didn't do much, we were going to go to the movies but we were both feeling old and tired so we opted to stay home instead.. which was fine with me.. I don't think I could have sat thru a 3 hr movie.. especially considering I feel asleep in the middle of the day watching a show that I do actually enjoy! I pulled an Emma!
We took Nemo for a run around in the dog park, but all he seemed to want to do was sniff.. sniff and sniff some more! We hid from him a few times and made him come looking for us.. which was a little bit fun, but as soon as he saw us again he went back to sniffing.. dogs and sniffing go hand in hand I guess!
Umm we considered making a snowman but discovered quickly that the snow was too powdery.. sad really.. as you can't even make snowballs to throw at each other.. so I pose this question..

Baked!
This morning I was up early and filling in my morning with some good ole baking.. this is what I made!
Chocolate Chip Cookies.. which didn't turn out how I would have liked.. but I am sure they will taste just fine.. I thought the recipe called for a little too much butter.. but coz I hadn't baked them before I opted to follow the recipe.. which I always do.
Peanut Butter, Chocolate Chip Muffins.. which I don't know how they are meant to look or anything but they look like muffins so I guess we will see how they taste.. in 2 weeks.. when Emma and I can actually enjoy them.. for the time being they will go on holiday to ice-land.. aka the freezer.
I also made the dough for some shortbread.. which can't be cooked until tomorrow at the earliest.. and of course once cooked they too shall go on holiday to ice-land.
I would like to go on holiday.. not to ice-land tho.. I think I would find that a little boring and cold.. but hey at least I would have goodies to keep me company on holiday!

Skimmed!
Well what a freaken day! A snow filled day at that.. I must say tho it is very very pretty.. all the white goodness! & of course they were pretty slack at getting things organised.. every single time it snows I swear it takes them all totally by surprise.. eventho the news was warning of snowchaos!
Anyways maybe I will get to make a snowman tonight.. we will see how I feel and if Emma actually manages to make it home.. who knows with all this snow!
Now onto the main part of my blog.. the reason why I decided to actually blog today coz it is kinda shocking and o so typical really. Yes so I receive a letter from my bank and it tells me that they believe my card has been hacked and could I contact them.. which as you can imagine is not something that I personally would want to do.. but when it is a matter of funds and I am the only one who can actually call.. I simply cannot just leave it up to Emma to deal with it.. as much as I would like to..
So I called.. lots of swedish words were said.. basically just telling me to stay on the line and someone will be with me in one minute and I'm thinking yeah right but sure enough.. not even a minute later a lady starts speaking and boy I hope she doesn't (but I am sure that she does) have to say that speel each and every time coz it was a good 20 seconds which is a long time when you can't actually understand her.. mainly coz she was speaking so VERY fast.. prolly to be able to spit it all out! lol
& then I so nicely ask... "Do you speak english?" which was then lead by a pause on her behalf and then a quiet simple "umm yes" and then I say o goodie and tell her that I got a letter blah blah blah and I had the letter and my card in front of me.. coz I figured that is all that I would need.. but no the first thing she asks for is... my person number and I guess she heard my face screw up and then said that the card number would be fine.. now the person number is pretty simple to remember.. but I am always taken aback when asked for it.. I don't know why.. but I spat it out and all was good and then she explained that the card is currently blocked as they have received information from the police saying that my card had been skimmed so they needed to notify me and send me a new card and pin.
It is just so typical that I hardly ever use my card and yet this happens to me.. for instance in the past 3 months I have only used my card 3 times.. yes you read that right THREE! Well at least no money was actually missing from my account.. coz that would totally blow ass.. like totally!

Studless!
Yesterday I decided after nearly 13 years I would take my tongue stud out.. actually I had been thinking of doing it for a few months now, and yesterday I finally took the plunge and did it.. it was a little tough to get out.. but I got there.
The feeling without it is a little weird.. it felt like I was going to swollow my tongue, or at least choke on it a little.. I found myself clearing my throat a lot.. actually I find that I am clearing my throat a lot this morning too.. its a little bit of an adjustment.. but I am sure it will come right.. just like it was a bit of an adjustment when I first got it pierced.. like the first time I poked my tongue out with it in.. I then had to figure out how to pick my tongue up and put it back over my teef without using my fingers.. it took a few tries but I got there in the end.. and now nearly 13 years on I could hardly tell that I had it in my mouth. But there comes a time in ones life that one must make changes.. this is a small change but it is a change all the same and plus tongue studs are not good for the teef.. I don't wanna be teefless afterall!
My weekend was pretty restful.. I watched a few movies.. many not so good movies..
I can't say that I enjoyed any of them.. but that happens sometimes.. and it seems more often than not these days.. its hard to think that 3 years ago I was going to the movies every weekend and more often than not seeing a movie that was actually good.. now however it seems the movies just aren't up to scratch.. however the other weekend we did watch Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa and that was just awesome! My favourite line or well part of a song is "I like em big, I like em ChunKey!" hear the whole song HERE! It is just awesome.. hmm.. maybe I should make that my new sms tone *ponders*

Robber!
Last week.. or maybe the week before.. I forget really as I wasn't directly involved.. but anyways we will just say last week coz well thats just the way I roll..
Last week there was a little excitement in this small town of Hassleholm and it really showed me just how unorganised the police really are.. I have said many times before that the police here are pretty slack if not non existent but yeah.. so there was a bank robbery and this is how it went down..
Robber goes into one bank but walks out empty handed.. I guess the staff out-thunk him! & of course being a bank robber he didn't want to go away empty handed so he headed off to another bank where he hit the 'jackpot' and managed to actually get some money.. 6000kr.. that is an eyeroll worthy amount thats for sure.. and I guess the robber thought so too coz he decided that he would try his luck at yet another bank.. coz afterall there still was no sign of any cops making any sort of appearance.. so off he toddled to the next bank but luckily the doors were locked coz I guess they had got a phonecall or something from a previous victim bank.. he rattled the doors and then ran off and get this.. he actually got away. Seriously... 3 banks, 6000kr and escape? Where were the police during all of this? My guess is prolly eating a hotdog!
They got the police chopper out to look for him but nothing.. nadda! Then they release a statement basically saying that if enough people see the footage someone will recognise him but they are not going to release the footage.. I mean come on! WTF?! Pure Stupid!
I didn't have much faith in the police in this town to start with but after this I have even less.. if that is even possible but yeah..

Kicked!
Ok.. its been a rather long time since I did any form of blogging and last night I got sms kicked by my very own mother so here I go.. one blog entry coming up!
Lets start it with a little bit of funny.. this happened last night as Emma and I were chatting in bed.. chitta chatta away we were and then I started to hear Emma nodding off.. her voice starts to sound different and she stops actually answering in a timely manner.. or in a manner that actually makes sense and has anything to do with what we are talking about.. so anyways there we are and then she comes out with "thats a nice bag you got there" which them made me laugh and say "what?" and then that caused her to wake up a bit more and she was like.. "what did I say? did I really just say that?" laughter was had and then the snoring begun.
Ummm lets see.. what else have I been up to for the past few weeks? Well mainly recovering from hurting my back.. nothing too serious tho and it is nearly back to how it was before. Ah we also have decided that instead of going out of Sweden this year for a summer holiday we are going to go hiking at the other end of the country and take Nemo along.. we have even ordered him his own little backpack. It will sure be an experience.. tent, sleeping bags, camp stories, freeze dried dinners.. good times! There is actually a cheeseburger in a can.. which I am dying to try.. even if it is to only ever say I have eaten a cheeseburger that came from a can! hahaha I will be sure to document it all so that you can live through the canned cheeseburger experience as if you were right there lol
The weather here lately has been cold.. cold and a little bit more cold and the wind is like a sharp icy knife and it just cuts right thru to the bone! The last couple of days have been the worst and when I am out walking Nemo it feels like my eyes are freezing solid! & that is not a happy feeling.. can't it be warm already? not hot.. like australia.. but just warm.. you know the chill taken off.. is that really too much to ask for? I am thinking yes! I did however buy a new spunky orange thermal top.. gotta love the thermals! Not only do they keep you cosy but they are also very spunk.. as long as you get the spunk ones that is.. I am totally into patterns and funky colours and green and orange are my two all time fave colours.. maybe I should have been irish? I have changed the slide text of slidebar on my iPhone to irish so it comes up as green, white and orange.. coz I'm so ace lol Emma however called me a geek when I told her that when I go into airplane mode I get the enterprise ship from star trek.. like I said I'm so ace!

The last couple of days have been the worst and when I am out walking Nemo it feels like my eyes are freezing solid! & that is not a happy feeling.. can't it be warm already? not hot.. like australia.. but just warm.. you know the chill taken off.. is that really too much to ask for? I am thinking yes! I did however buy a new spunky orange thermal top.. gotta love the thermals! Not only do they keep you cosy but they are also very spunk.. as long as you get the spunk ones that is.. I am totally into patterns and funky colours and green and orange are my two all time fave colours.. maybe I should have been irish? I have changed the slide text of slidebar on my iPhone to irish so it comes up as green, white and orange.. coz I'm so ace lol Emma however called me a geek when I told her that when I go into airplane mode I get the enterprise ship from star trek.. like I said I'm so ace!
