And So It Begins..

The journey began with a quick trip over the bridge and into Copenhagen, it wasn’t long ‘til we hit our destination of The Hilton at Copenhagen airport.. we stood there in the lobby waiting to be checked in for what seemed like way too long for a higher starred hotel.. however 2 HiltonHonours guests got to be checked in nice and quick.. curse us for not be honours! Once we actually got served, it seemed like everyone in the universe heard Em say both last names and we had 2 rooms.. but the guy who actually served us.. turn your ears on buddy! Eventually we got it all sorted and headed off to check out our rooms. Simple standard rooms.. no mess and no fuss. The first thing.. or one of.. was to jump on the bed and have Em take a lovely photo of my gorgeous self!

We checked out the view from the window and watched all the peoples running around while munching on some chocolate and grapes.. good combo right? I thought so. It wasn’t long before we were once again due to meet up with Georg & Mike to find a bite to eat.. we headed off to the airport to see what was on offer.. at the 7-Eleven we found a luxurious meal.. a calzone and a strange little chicken spicy stick thing.. that actually was rather nice. We grabbed our food to go, as the dining arrangements in a 7-Eleven weren’t really up to my high standards. We all trucked over to a little area to sit and enjoy our feast while I of course took in the first of a well needed and deserved beer.. Georg couldn’t resist the temptation of a beer upon smelling mine and went and got us one each. After a few laughs and all the beer gone it was then time to truck back over to the hotel and tuck ourselves soundly into bed so we could be all spritely for the early morning start on the breakfast buffet before heading off to Amsterdam.

The breakfast buffet was pretty decent.. and a good way to fill up for the day ahead without having to fork out loads of dosh on food here and there.. gotta think about these things when travelling on a budget. I didn’t take a single photo of my breakfast but lets just say it was a pretty standard buffet where you had a good range of different things.

Checking out was slightly less.. poor customer servicey.. and all over pretty painlessly.. which was nice and then we were onward and upward towards Amsterdam.
