It's Go Time!

After a month off, I figure there is no better time than to get back into blogging with the fun tales of my recent trip to New York and Boston. So over this next week.. I shall try to pull my fingers out of my.. massive bowl of chocolate and get them onto the keyboard.. but let's get this party started..

The getting there, seemed pretty darn painless. We packed up our massive yellow suitcase, with a massive duffle inside of course.. coz we are afterall going to America.. which means one thing! Shopping! and we set off on our journey. First stop.. Copenhagen Airport, we get checked in and head to Starbucks for a seasonal coffee.. and a piece of cake. One must kill time somehow in an airport right?

Then we went and chilled out on these nifty little wide padded benches for a while and watched the planes.. there weren't that many...

The first flight was pretty painless and before we knew it, we had arrived in Heathrow.. after the last disaster of Heathrow we were a little.. umm worried for our tight connection but at the end of the day.. we will get to the final destination one way or another.. however to our surprise, they had streamlined this from last time and as we were walking off the plane, we were greeted by a lovely worker who gave us these awesome little cards..
which meant that we got through very very quickly.. and even had time to spare to watch some more planes!
Up in the air again..
& on our way to New York! There were no hiccups on this flight, everything all went smoothly and soon enough we had arrived, made our way through customs, the dude we got was rather funny. Then we hit the trains.. we were in New York! We made our way through the heavy foot traffic to the hotel. Got checked into our room on the 24th floor! Noice! The desk dude was high I think.. he was weird. But we were in.. we freshened up and hit the streets for a spot of sightseeing.. The Rockefeller Center was top of the hit list given we wanted to check out the views.. which you can see here..

After taking in the freezing cold and spectacular views.. we headed to a burger joint for a rather tasty burger and a mass of fries.. which we barely made a dent in.

With our bellehs full and after a very long day, we headed back to the comfort of our hotel room and zonked out!

  3. I sure wish my travels were so delightful but I meet many idjuts in airports, porters and others who are supposed to guide you this way and that but they're so freaking officious and sharp and ikky!
