The weekend was a pretty quiet one.. the whole family got trimmed... bathed even! Not that you could tell with Nemo.. about the bathing that is but he does look all smart in his fitted suit! I do love his salt and peppered look!

While foodage shopping on Saturday morning (before all the trimming began) I came across these smashing glasses.. and quite frankly I think I look the most awesome of awesome wearing them! I totally should have bought them.. they could have been my holiday glasses!

One more weekend down.. and only one more to go before I am enjoying my time in an English speaking country being mistaken for Irish while Emma gets German..

The weekend was a pretty quiet one really..

apart from the noise from the festivities..

It seemed to go on forever on Saturday night.. but maybe that was coz we were staying up late to drive Emma's brother home in his drunken state.. but at least its all over now and we can go back to just getting annoyed by our shitty neighbours.. who have decided to really show how small minded and childlike they are with name calling as we walk by.

Anyways on the drive.. we discovered that the snails out where Emma's bro lives are on freaken steroids! They were HUGE! Emma killed many. Along with frogs.. it was quite ace in a morbid way. Nemo was just happy that he got to go in the car.. which he jumps into like he is some kind of super dog. Oh and also while we had the car we went for a little drive and I must say the most unsettling thing someone can say while they are driving you is.. "maybe I should have worn my glasses" *straightface* yes that is what Emma said to me. My butt tensed.

Umm.. we also had some more Chanterelles on the weekend.. 3rd time this month! Gotta make the most of it while they are local and fresh! Nom nom nom! Creamy, buttery, mushroomy, bready goodness!

Let me see.. what else did the weekend hold.. not really the best weather, it was either.. wet, warm & sticky or dry, warm & sticky. I had to laugh a little at the times where it hammered down on the festival goers. It also takes me back to that time in Melbourne where we were caught in the sudden burst of rain & hail. Very light grey tees are as bad as white tees when wet. You know what tho.. I think that time in Melbourne has to be one of my most memorable moments.

We also did some more online ordering of goods we want to buy in Americat.. I like this American shopping without having to actually go shopping.. not that we wont go shopping. Emma would cry and we can't have that.. can we? ...

So the festival thingo is in full swing..
Actually this year it isn't as bad/annoying as previous, coz they have all new music and more variety of said music.. which makes things sooo much betterer.. and they no longer have the "Are You Ready" ride! Which was the ride that totally did my head in so yeah.. so far I haven't minded it nearly as much.. or at all really.

Tonight we went and had langos for dinner and then afterwards.. like a few hours afterwards we headed off to have some american ice cream thingo.. mmm preservatives! It was kinda funny looking, tasting and consistency! It's always nice to try new and weird things right? Even if it does make you puke a little in your mouth after finishing lol

We got to watch Some dude do some drunk dancing while eating the 'ice cream' .. hmm maybe that's what made me puke a little in my mouth! Highly amusing all the same.. especially when he got a lady companion.. and then didn't let her leave! Ace!

Earlier today we headed off for Nemo to do his meet and greet at the doggy hotel that he will be staying at.. it eases my mind a little after meeting them and seeing him and seeing all the dogs that were there.. were all laid back, happy and just looking so content.. I guess that means its a gooden of a place right? riiiight? lol Also makes me feel better knowing that people have left their dogs there for a couple of months.. so Nemo should be fine staying there for the Eurotrip next year. I would rather being him with tho.. I think he would add a funny little element to a road trip.. and he totally loves cars! Although a part of me wishes we were doing the road trip in an RV! Rockstarz stylez! hahahah

Today... 2 weeks from now.. I'll be in Boston! Woooooot!

Grey!

So yesterday it was grey, gloomy and all together spooky.. ok not spooky but rainy. Sometimes I like the rain and other times I do not.. mainly when I have to walk Nemo is when I really don't like the rain.. hate wet dog smell. HATE!

Yesterday I was quite the moody one.. with my butt cheek back to its old tingly ways! Another thing I got from that wonderful Germany trip I might add. My eye and head were in constant pain.. started getting rather bad on Sunday and wasn't much better yesterday but today seems a little more in control. Which is something. Actually, today is a much betterer day all around so hopefully I will also be more on my game.. and less of a mess. Oh who am I kidding! I am always a mess.. especially my hair! Which I guess is my charm.. right?

I also noticed yesterday the trucks and stuff starting to arrive for the yearly "Are You Ready" noisefest! Good times! What it does mean tho.. is... *drum role* ... LANGOS! and then prolly a belly ache, coz that is the usual order of things lol All worth it tho! All worth it!

Damn now I want langos for breakfast! hahahah

Today we did a booze run to Germany.. I didn't see much of Germany.. I don't really feel like I left the country.. more like it was the long way round to the bottle-o. We ended up only going to the one place and then heading home. We got booze, candy and a buttache..

The highlight of the trip was when Emma took this photo.I now know what I would look like if I were Armish and had a beard.

Green!

Green around the gills is how I was feeling as I watched a kitty cat nearly get run over by a car!

There I was minding my own business walking Nemo.. when a bike passes me, which of course I take no notice off until the cat jumps out from the freaken bush and nearly right into the bike!! and then to make my heart race that little bit further there is a car passing the bike to which the cat then jumps towards to get away from the bike! I see the cat go under the car.. and then come to a complete halt.. it actually looked like it hit the wheel from the under side, bounced back a little, stopped, the car moved on and the cat the jumped.. I say jumped coz this cat took the biggest strides I have even seen and it could only have been some sort of jump.. so anyways it jumped away across the road and over the fence. I guess it wasn't hurt.. maybe just a little freaked but it sure did make me gasp, gulp and then feel very green around the gills even tho there was no red to be seen.. thankfully.

And that my friends was my very exciting afternoon walk.

We did it!

Thursday night the first coat went on.. and I was over it! But of course.. more needed to be done..
Friday we did coat after coat until we were happy with the result.
I was a white spotted queen! I must admit tho.. all the white paint made me look so tanned! Sadly I had to wash it off and go back to my pale self. Which reminds me that I blinded Emma with the whiteness of my belly last night.. highly amusing.
Friday was a mighty long day but we managed to get it all done and then Saturday was the day of putting things back together.. which was even less fun than the painting.
