Friday night, Emma got to play Taxi and drive her brother home from a night of drinking. This year however there were not many many little froggies on the roads.. getting splattered as they got driven over.. but there were other things on the road. Firstly there was the pigs.. wild pigs actually.. 2 of them.. they came out and then they ran down the side of the road until they found a good spot to be able to enter into a property and much on their corn.. they were large. It was a little bit of fun to start of the drive.
Then there was the little bambi that ran out in front of us.. luckily at a safe enough distance that we were in no danger in turning little bambi into flat bambi.. of course it did stand completely still and stare right into the headlights.. as they do.. so Emma turned them off and off the little bambi ran.. ahh bless!
After the little bambi we figured that would be it for the night.. but how wrong we were.. there we were driving along minding our own business when we see a bird.. in the middle of the road.. just standing there.. as we get closer and closer.. it doesn't move.. but it is alive.. otherwise it wouldn't be standing right.. well as it turned out it was sleeping.. not really a clever place to sleep if you ask me! Maybe that bird and the dude who got hit by the train in western Sweden were on the same wave length.. he too took a nap in a stupid place.. on the train tracks of all places.. and he too was lucky to not get dead.. he only sustained a small gash to his head.
Saturday was the last day of the festival.. thank bloody goodness! I watched as the last trucked rollwed out on Sunday afternoon after heading the banging of packing up all day.. now it is just back to the usual noises of cars going way too fast and motorbikes being way too loud.. and kicks screaming as much as they can.. oh and church bells! I could close the door and not hear most of it but in a way I guess it makes me feel alive in this strange little world.
Yesterday I baked cookies.. the Neiman-Marcus cookies and they turned out aok.. 72 cookies is what I got from a half mixture.. noice. They got spread around so that they wouldn't all go in my belly! I must say tho, they were rather yum and I got to fill up my roses tin with cookies for the first time.. didn't last long tho.. with 20 being removed for Emma to take to work.
There is nothing quite like a cookie and coffee.. even Nemo agrees.. however he is after the coffee! Soon he will be going after snus again!
