No Ordinary Day..

Today started off like any other.. I woke up, I walked Nemo, I spoke to Em on Skype and then I just stayed in bed.. which was a little out of the ordinary for me. After a while, I finally dragged my ass out of bed to get onto my karting addiction, have a little breakfast and a coffee. That is my friends.. when things started to really go off plan. I pressed the button to start the coffee machine, which felt a little funny but I didn't think anything of it.. I made my coffee, got my breakfast and then went to turn the coffee machine off, only to discover that the on/off button had actually brokened and no longer worked! Curse me and my superpowers! Sometimes I forget that I am a superhero and have to be careful with human things. I took the front panel off, to discover that the face plate has special screws.. well poo. I threw my hands in the air and went and parked on the couch, called Pinko on Skype and loaded up Mario kart for a little karting fun! Ate my breaky while gasbagging.. then I got stuck right in kicking that Pinko tush!

Race after race. Curse word after curse word. Bananas, blocks and shells being flung all over the place.. occasional a bomb was let off. Many rain clouds came in and ruined our lives.. more so for Pinko, coz she was often trailing. Way to kick a kart when its down right?

Next thing I knew it was time to walk Nemo all over again.. so I went and got a new roll of poobags out of the drawer.. only to discover that each and every one had NO sealed end. Just an endless tunnel of poobags. Luckily I still had other bags.. which are the emergency bags incase we ever run out expectantly. I think this qualifies.. don't you? After telling Em about it.. she said, things can only get better right? All I could think was I was going to slip and fall and die while walking Nemo.. ok that was a little dramatic but you get the drift.

The walk went smooth.. then I needed to drop Nemo off and head to the post office (not the average post office, its more a smokes and betting shop that also does the post) to pick up 2 packages that had come for yours truly.. I sure was felling spoilt. Actually I was a little nervous for one of them, coz it could only be bad news. I get the packages and walk home.. all the while feeling like shit and not really wanting to open it. It was far too soon to be getting it was all I could think. Nothing good could come of it. I walk in the door and slap it down on the table and just look at it for a few minutes.. then I decided to open it.. rip it off like a bandaid right? Good news, bad news, its just news and you have to deal with it either way. I ripped in and discovered...

Yes! I had in fact been accepted to be a Swede! I am officially a Swedish citizen! That's right folks.. I am now European! Don't I look fancy? LOL

I sent Em a picture message and then Skyped with her. It was all very exciting.. so exciting that the naughty little petal was unable to go back to sleep! Gosh! After getting off Skype with her, I went and had some lunch and spoke with Pinko again while having some celebratory karting! Oh and a beer.. yup I totally drink and kart.. so sue me!

I really couldn't believe how quick the process was for me.. I only applied a few weeks ago, and on the piece of paper it says I have already been a Swede for over a week! I can't blame them.. I would want to snap up a superhero too if I had my own country! I hear so many horror stories when it comes to visas and citizenship and just in general immigration stuff.. but all in all I have been really frakkin lucky.. they seem to process me very quickly. I guess I am quite the keeper! It can be hard being this awesome at times.. but I manage.

Now let's move back to the other package.. it was from Pinko and in there, she had very kindly added more chocolate fish.. in the hope to get more photos like this one I bet! [click me] Also there were moustaches.. one for each day of the week.. stayed tuned for pictures of that! Moustache pins for on a cork board.. I best get on to buying a cork board now to place these awesome pins! Little pink dog post its.. I guess I just had to get something pink from Pinko.. right? More Eclipse mints.. 2 flavours that Em has not tried yet.. Berry & Cool Breeze. Should be fun! Not as fun as Turkey Gumballs tho! More Curlies! And last but not least the tea towel that she thought was an apron.. someone obviously went shopping with their eyes out!

Oh & last night I finally got around to changing my GelaSkin.. how awesome is this puppy?! New Yoooooooooooooooooooooooooork!

Reliving Thanksgiving...

..Gumball Stylez!

As I said in my previous post that my next one would be about me revisiting turkey.. and in this case, a thanksgiving spread.. minimal as it may be.. in gumballs! That is Turkey, Cranberry & Pumpkin Pie flavoured gumballs! Yes people.. you read correctly.. a turkey gumball! What an experience it will be! And of course for your viewing pleasure I have made a little .gif of it. You're welcome.

I opened up the little tin.. and did the sniff test. You know when you get something new.. you just have to sniff it. The sniff test told me that this was gonna be quite gross.. as if I didn't actually know that before? I mean really.. who would buy Thanksgiving Gumballs and actually think it was going to be yums! Not me.. but when I saw them I just knew I had to have them! 

First up on the gumball front, I of course threw myself in head first and jumped right on the turkey one. I figured it had to be the worst.. and also I thought that cranberry would be a good bridge to pumpkin pie.. instead of turkey to pumpkin pie.

Honestly.. the turkey did actually taste like turkey.. but sweet.. it wasn't revolting, but it wasn't really something I wanted to have in my mouth for very long.. and of course the more you chew.. the more you umm.. taste it. I have plenty left over if you want to pop on over for a taste test yourself.

Next up was the cranberry which was kinda cranberry-ish.. I think they missed the mark a tiny bit to be honest.. they could have made a much better cranberry gumball and it would have been rather pleasing lol It was good however to remove the turkey from my gobhole.

Pumpkin pie.. you would think this would be the yummiest of the bunch.. but to me all it really tasted like was a mild cinnamon chewing gum. Strong for me.. but I would say mild for anyone who actually likes cinnamon. I found it a touch over powering.. but of all the gumballs it was the only one that you would even attempt to repeat.. so for that I give it the thumbs up!

It definitely made my last night with Emma a little more interesting before she heads off to San Fran for work. Lucky some right? But that's ok, Nemo and I will get our fun pants on and tear the joint up and hopefully EuroDuck will come out to play too.. it has been a while!

Why So.. Slack?

And so has begun another year!

And... once again I have started it with what appears to be one very slack tush!

The weather this year has been so mild that currently.. it doesn't even feel like winter. This time last year.. it looked like this..

I must say tho.. the snow-less streets makes for maneuvering our new shopping trolley quite easy! I must admit, our trolley was one of the best buys we got in Boston. Bring on the nanna jokes I dare ya! But I just love strutting my stuff with mah trolley! 

I do want to pimp mah trolley and give the little thing new wheels.. like the equivalent of a toorak tractor but for trolleys! I think the 4wd drive look on a trolley would look rather awesome.. especially once it does actually snow.. maybe Em will be convinced to pimp it once it does snow.

So far, this year has been pretty low key. Nothing really amazing or special to report.. but I will say this.. my next blog will be revisiting turkey!
