My Bodyguard!

So, Emma is away in Japan for work at the moment so it is just me and the little guy home all alone, but I feel completely safe because he is my bodyguard. Here he is holding me back with his big paw, while he surveys the land to make sure nothing will come at me..

I have such a cute little guy, and I know it!

He has been off a little this week, not sure what was wrong with him but he seems fine now and that is all that matters. We had a few days of just hometime, only out for 'business' trips. Which was really starting to grate on him and he would just attack me for no good reason. Like..

- I'd be making coffee, waiting for shit to happen and then BAM! he would be attached to my fingers, and if you think about it, that is a feat in itself coz he is so bloody tiny! 

- I would get up to go and do.. just about anything and then BAM! he will be on my foot! Wrapping his tiny little legs around my ankles and growling the cutest growl I ever did hear!

- I would be just minding my own business on the couch and then BAM! he would pounce on me, my chest, my legs, my head, whatever he deemed the most.. offensive?

So yeah, he had a little aggression to play out but the time inside did him some good coz, well.. it was completely miserable weather out and he wasn't a happy camper the first few of days of the week. He has also been losing his teeth and today, his last little front bottom middle teeth fell out! How cute are puppies when they are losing their teeth?! The different sizes are just all kinds of adorable!

Today, for an extra special treat and to get some serious play time, we headed off for a nice long walk after lunch to the parentals, and once there he got to play with the super cool Uncle Hjulle. 

A little inside play, a little outside play, a little sunbathing and a heck of a lot of drinking. Seriously, he drinks so much there.. I reckon there must be dog crack in that water. After all that we trekked it home, along the way he got to meet up with his little buddy Charlie, but she is on heat at the moment so it was a quick hello and then off we went. Once home, what has he done for the last couple of hours? Yep, slept. Haven't heard a whisper from him since we walked in the door.

Hello, Sunshine!

Well hello April, how nice of you to arrive and bring with you the glorious weather! Today, Mikkel and I went for a walk in just a t-shirt! Ok, Mikkel wasn't wearing a tee, and I was also wearing pants and stuff but what I am getting at is, I was able to walk my little devil without having to wear a jacket of some kind! And. It. Felt. Good. However, I did see many people still donning jackets and that made me think I was doing the wrong thing but then I remember how soaked my tee was after the walk yesterday in the forest, where I was wearing a jacket. So yeah, I enjoyed my walk in the sun in my tee and scoffed and called them pussies (not really) at people in jackets.

This was the sky this morning on Mikkel's after breakfast walk.. just lovely!

On Saturday we will have a high of 18 degrees, which means that I hope to see others out donning short sleeves and not jackets.. but I am in Sweden, so you never know!

Yesterday, Mikkel and I had our first night home alone with Emma. She has gone to Stockholm with her mum for a few days. He was a little unsettled to start with but he got to sleep after a little coaxing. He kept going to sit in the spot he goes when we (Emma) takes too long to come to bed.

We had a pretty good day yesterday, he played with his big fox a lot and hung out with him under the table as much as possible. Here they are giving me the bum! [link to photo] and then several hours later, they were back under there, this time sleeping while holding paws! Adorable! [link to photo]

We also went for a walk in the forest, Mikkel is really good off leash in there. He is my superstar! And if I happen to take too long, and he is ahead then he will stop, look back at me as if to say.. what the actual fuck?! [link to photo] Afterwards, we headed to the park for some more off leash time and a play around. Today at the park we were attempting to play fetch, after a few false starts, he did manage to go and fetch the stick and bring it back to me. I was well impressed. I will have to have another go with it later today or tomorrow, depending on how much of a rascal he is later. 

Currently he is sleeping on his spot, on the side of the couch.. I do wonder how long it is going to be before he has outgrown the 'spot'. Look how much he has grown in 8 weeks! [link to photo]

This morning after chewing his vege stick, I guess he rested on it and well.. this happened.. [link to photo] He really does have the perfect amount of comedy to this household!

All in all things are going pretty rad over here, this growing little family is loving life and even more so now with delicious weather on the agenda! Hopefully we will do some fun blog worthy things with all this good weather, and hopefully Mikkel will get betterer at doing his business in new areas instead of holding it! But the bright-side is... at least we know he can hold it! But then again, we knew that from his early days with us where he would hold it for hours and hours outside before coming in and releasing! I am so glad that is over and that it didn't last too long. Long enough but not too long.

And lastly, Mikkel giving Emma 'the face' so that she will either get out of the bath, or allow him to join her in there. [link to photo] It does make me wonder how he will do with swimming, he seems to love water.. to do with the bath tub at least.
