Roller Derby!

As promised.. ok I didn't really promise, I just said I would post about popping my roller derby cherry.. I haven't gotten around to it coz I have been on the sickly side.. I am still feeling that way now but enough is enough! If I don't get the post done then I never bloody will! So it won't be my best work.. but at least it will be done.

Saturday 11th.. Em and I headed into Malmö for an afternoon at the roller derby, it was going to be a first for the both of us. Just before we were due to leave.. Em remembers that the trains are all shot to buggery.. or well they are doing work or something.. all I know is that it is way inconvenient to little ole me.. I hate public transport and its ability to always be late so very much and now I am willingly going to have to catch a bus and then a train and have it take twice as long as it normally would.. all to watch roller derby. And you know what.. well worth it! I had lots of fun watching them all roll around bumping into one another.. I think I had the most fun trying to work out the bloody rules. Girls getting sent off left and right.. I think I would need an extra 10 sets of eyes to see everything that goes on.. and I am guessing that is why they had a millions people in pink keeping an eye on all those girls.. If I could be any one of the people in pink.. I would want to be the pointer! All you do is roll in circles and point at the lead jammer!

We enjoyed it so much.. that we have already purchased our tickets for the next afternoon of goodness! The 17th March.. fingers crossed there wont be any track or station works on that day! I am hoping after a couple more rounds.. I might actually have a better understanding.. but either way it is loads of fun and if you have never checked out roller derby, then do yourself a favour and do so!
