& is that the end?

Saturday we headed off to Malmö to join in with the protest about a new snoop law that has just been passed and it is total bullshit! We couldn't see where they banded together so we missed the walking and yelling but we caught up to them when they were at the standing still point. It was only a small unorganised one.. and the big organised one will be on 3rd July.. which I don't have to attend coz well Emma is going straight from work and it would be easier if she didn't have to hassle with me.. plus I can lend my support from home.. and I'm not really gonna know what the eff they are all screaming about anyways! lol

The train getting there was totally packed! One fat bastard stood on Nemo's paw and just ignored the fact that he did it.. and also one skinny bastard did the same thing. How hard is it to just watch what the fuck you are doing? Seriously! People pushing and shoving and knocking as they cram us in like sardines! It was not a fun trip that is for sure.. but in saying that one very funny thing happened.. there was this ugly moron who was leaning against the doors and another train went past and its going pretty fast so it makes the doors rattle a heck of a lot! and this guy nearly crapped his panties! Actually he possibly could of actually crapped his panties.. I didn't smell it but that might have been a bit hard with all the other gross smells.. why do so many people insist on not washing? Don't they realise that they really stink? and its not nice for others around them to smell it.. especially when crammed on a train like freaken sardines!!! But anyways it was VERY funny when it happened and his mate who was standing next to him just laughed and laughed and laughed some more.. and I of course laughed too.. how could you not?

Nemo was all excited about being on the train and then being in Malmö.. I think he enjoys it more than a dog should.. but maybe thats coz I am a mean eBil bitch! So we walked around and checked out stalls and stuff coz some food festival thingo was on.. after we had a nosy we then headed up to Jenny's for coffee.. which got Nemo excited some more coz he just loves to visit there.. hopefully he doesn't do any of his pissing tricks.. he just likes to help out.. you know.. water plants! lol

Speaking of helping out.. Emma helped a lady up from the ground after she tripped on some power cords.. it seems that maybe we shouldn't go to Malmö coz people are either getting knocked down or tripping over when we are there.. but where else would we go if we didn't go there? It sure is not like we have loads of places to choo choo choose from.

I was a little tired once we got home.. and here is Nems and I having a cuddle on the couch. Awww pure sweetness!!

Sunday was just an average day until the parentals called and asked if we wanted to go for a drive. We said yes and Nemo once again got all excited coz he not only got to hang with pops & mops but he got to go for a drive too.. then he got to go for a walk near water.. which always gets him over excited and he even got some ice cream! It really was an exciting weekend for the Nems! We went for quite a longish drive.. saw many things I had not seen but my headache and eye pain got the better of me so I had to try and snooze before I went mad! It was good tho.. we got to see all kinds of things.. birds, I saw storks.. but they dont bring you babies like in the cartoon.. so ripped off! They had babies of thier own tho which was cute and one of them threw its head backwards and i guess you could say it was resting the back of its head on its back.. it was gross. and anyways it did that and then it made some strange noise. Must have been trying to scare me.. which wasnt what it did.. it did however totally gross me out... coz it looked broken. We saw loads of scenery.. funky houses.. even a few funky cars.. some beach soccer.. which wow is a little bit on the rough side! and it was nice to have some ice cream.. I love ice cream! All in all it was a really good afternoon and by the time we got home I was starving.. luckily I was having pumpkin soup for dinner and it was pre-made! Not from a can or packet tho. Here is a pic of me on the pier at Åhus.Last night we watched the soccer.. and Spain won.. YaY! is all I have to say.. YaY! that Spain won and YaY! that it is OVER! Speaking of over.. another month is over.. or well in a few hours.. another month bites the dust alright.. really where is this year going? It seems to be going to the blanket of black birds that litter the sky!

Rivalry!

For the past few evenings Emma, Nemo and I have been enjoying going down to the duck pond and watching the ducks.. mainly the baby ducks.. not that there are many.. there are still only the 2 originals.. which makes me a little sad but at least there are some to watch.. and plus the adults are a bit fun to watch also.

Saturday night when we were there, the ginger cat was also there.. I have chased this cat away a fair few times already, but this time he just did not want to scoot. I scared him off and he took off into a bush and as it turned out there was another cat there and I heard a little scuffle.. then they both came out from under the bush having their little scuffle and then the ginger cat took off so fast.. and I mean fast.. I don't think I have ever seen a cat speed off like that. The other cat stopped and tried to stare me out.. and Nemo even barked at it a little.. he isn't much for paying that much attention to cats.. he seems more scared of them than anything.. but this one he did not like and barked at it like a good boy.. I then chased the cat off and made my way back to Emma and as we were heading home we found the ginger cat sitting on a rock.. all scared and pissed off.. and quite a distance from the pond.. here in this pic is ginger cat.. he.. or well he could be a she.. but I personally think he looks like a boy but then he is fat so maybe he is a she and she is preggars?Yesterday on what seems to be the nightly ritual of duck watching we arrived and they were sleeping and gosh they look ever so cute when they are asleep.. just a little cuter than when they are awake! But soon enough they were awake and the bigger one started waddling about and having a munch on some grass.. the smaller one tried to stay put as much as possible.. the bigger one would nudge and pester it as much as possible. THEN the bigger one waddles right in front of the smaller one.. ass to the smaller ones face and wriggles it a bit before.. pooping right at the little one.. the poop stopped just short of possibly hitting the little one in the face! Now that my friends is sibling rivalry at its very bestest! Indeed.

Last night Emma and I watched the soccer and to be honest it was not a very thrilling match and then in the second half there were technicial difficulties which meant that we missed some of it.. and at one point we even missed a goal that Germany had got coz of it.. so rude! but I guess thats the sort of shit that happens when you watch sports on TV. The soccer will be over soon and I can go back to getting enough sleep! I must admit I do enjoy having strawberries when the soccer is on.. oh no wait.. I just really enjoy strawberries! & really why wouldn't I.. strawberries are YummO! I think there is a match on tonight.. I don't even have the slightest clue as to who is playing though.. its not a German Turkey thats for sure.

Today I have felt a little tired from staying up and watching the soccer.. but at least it was actually over in the normal 90mins.. I would have been a bit pissed if it had of gone into extra time.. but yeah it didn't so all was good.. but today I have been tired.. also a little cranky.. and it has rained! Luckily I managed to make it home before getting too wet on my lunch time walk. Nemo was so tired and so very sound asleep that he didn't even hear me calling for him to come when it was time to go out.. he was curled up in bed snoozing.. at first I thought he was just ignoring me.. coz he does that but then I touched him and he woke up with his crooked face and growled coz well he had been woken up but then he got all happy coz he saw his leash.. I guess the soccer is playing with his sleeping patterns too lol I do love his crooked face!

On the walk I saw something that made me smile and once again I was kicking myself that I didn't have a camera but in saying that I don't think the old couple would of liked me taking a pic of them.. so anyways I was walking Nemo and there is this old couple.. they had to be in their 70's but in saying that Swedes look young.. just look at Emma.. she still looks 16! so anyways maybe they were older than I think.. they were just rather old and so very in love.. walking hand in hand and then they stopped and gave each other a little kiss and then continued on their merry way. They seemed so very happy and content and I just love that they were holding hands. It was a really beautiful moment thats for sure.. its good to see that there is love out there and this world isn't just full of hate.

A little cuteness on the morning walk was a little squirrel.. he jumped out from the hedge and I guess he didn't realise that Nemo and I were there.. he got a fright.. Nemo got a fright and of course I got a fright.. I did not let out a little girly scream tho.. which would be a first I know.. but anyways so little squirrel jumps out and then takes off.. and they run so funny.. I should say bounce rather than run.. coz its ass bounced up and down.. it was kinda interesting.. but I giggled as it took off and Nemo just stared as hard as he could. The little squirrel then made its way up a tree and so Nemo and I stopped to check him out some more.. I don't think I have ever seen Nemo so interested in something. There we are standing there staring up into the tree and the little squirrel has finally decided he is safe and grabs his tail and rubs his face hardcore into it.. it was SO cute! Then a bird startled it and it took off up higher into the tree into a section that I could no longer see coz of all the leaves. I had to tug and then drag Nemo away from the tree.. he was still staring up into the tree hardcore.. I guess waiting for it to make its next appearance.. ahh cuteness!

Now to move onto something not so cute or even nice for that matter from that walk.. it appeared that every bug, its grandma and friends decided that this morning was the morning that they would all attack me.. bug after bug for the entire walk flew at me.. in my eyes, in my mouth, even up my nose.. one even tried to go down my jacket! It was horrible! Simply horrible! I was not impressed and couldn't wait to get home.. but it left me wondering.. what was it about me this morning that attracted all these freaken bugs of all shapes and sizes?

Yesterday I am taking the trash out.. when this lady who lives in the building.. whom I have NEVER ever seen before comes up to me and starts rattling something off so I just blankly look at her and say sorry I speak no Swedish.. even if my Swedish was better I would of had a hard time.. she spoke so fast and it just sounded like she said one very large long word.. but yeah so then she tried to speak English to me.. not very well and it turned out after about 5 mins of jabbering she thought I worked for HSB (who we rent through) and she wanted to know why she hadn't recieved the slip to pay her rent to which I responded with "Sorry I just live here so you will have to go to the office for those sorts of questions" then she went away. I walked away thinking.. seriously lady if I say I don't speak Swedish why on earth would you still think I worked for HSB? Some people seriously have no brains!

THEN while Emma and I are show shopping and yes I actually bought a pair of shoes.. but that is beside the point.. so while I am trying on pair after pair there is this crusty little punk also trying on shoes.. I guess thats what one does in the shoe section so its all good.. but then he started acting all shady and looking around and slowly making his way towards the exit.. all the while looking back and keeping an eye on the attendant.. this little punk was in fact stealing shoes.. so Emma went over and told the attendant with a little nudge from me.. and he ran after the punk and stopped him but still let him go and just took his name.. we assume. They have a funny way of dealing with theft in this country! If I had of been the attendant I would of made him come back into the store and called the cops and if he said that his parents bought the shoes for him then I would of told him to call his parents and tell them to come down with the receipt.. or at the very least dragged him back in and go through the shoes to find his old shoes that he no doubt left behind as he was doing the switch.. but hey maybe I am weird! It was rather annoying how he got away though.. but hey Emma did all that she could do other than chasing him and tackling the punk herself and dragging him back in.. actually I would pay to see that!

It was a weird Monday. Nemo was his usual sad-monday-self.. just a little more coz he had Emma home for an extra day.. but Monday is usually his day of being a sad sack coz his mummy Emma aint around. I felt tired and very drained.. must have been staying up so late watching the soccer.. which was well worth it.. and a few times I got very tense.. but yeah staying up so late made me tired and cranky so I had a cranky Monday and it didn't help that it was a rainy Monday. I want my hot sunshine back! GIVE IT BACK! It was a windy 11degrees this morning.. it was not very nice at all.. and it really made me realise just how much I need to get a haircut!

Midsummer!

Goodness gracious me.. nearly a week has passed and not all that much has happened.

There was the marijuana plant we saw there the week before placed nicely beside some bushes... but that has since gone and I was too lazy to go with Emma numerous times to take a pic.. it was rather amusing though.. especially that it has gone! Not that it was even worth taking.

Friday was the yummy midsummer feasty.. and boy was I full upon leaving the parentals.. the walk home was just what the doctor ordered! I was a good girl and of course Emma made sure I was a good girl and only ate things that I was allowed.. even though I wanted to eat some of the other things.. and the cake! I at least got to have a few drinks.. tried a few different vodka's.. some were nice.. some not so nice.. especially the pear.. that was just nasty! Emma even got a little on the tipsy side which meant she fell asleep even faster than instantly once we got home and her head connected with the pillow.. lucky for some I suppose! It was a very good night I must say and Nemo got to have a playdate with Dizzy.. who in fact scares him coz he is just a little wuss.

Now of course with all the nice weather, it of course rained on midsummer.. over the weekend.. yesterday was pissing down! But apparently it isn't midsummer without rain.. I don't think summer in Sweden is summer without rain! This summer has so far been MUCH betterer than last thats for sure.. it would be nice if the weather was really nice for when Emma has her summer break.. then we can do all sorts of summery fun things!

I have now had my fix of midsummer foodage! It was sooo good and coffee.. I don't think I have ever enjoyed a coffee so very much.. simply wonderful! It is really nice to be off my Liver Cleansing Diet and I am very proud as I have lost a decent amount of weight.. I just have to try to not be tooo bad so I can continue to drop some more weight and reach my goal.. I have faith that I will tho.

Nemo got 3 ticks! not one.. not two.. but three of the little blood sucking bastards on him! They have been removed and he is fine and dandy and he got a new dose of the tick repelling stuffs. damn ticks.. why can't they just piss off and die already!

On Saturday it was discovered that Emma is far too good at Mario Kart.. as she was playing her uni mates in Aus.. giving them a 30sec headstart and still kicking butt.. even lapping them! I really would have thought that they would have been betterer.. considering most of who was there had some sort of computing degree.. I guess playing Mario Kart is a little too advanced for some.. including me.. I don't like racing Emma coz she just HAS to win ALL the time.. and thats just not fun at all... for me! lol

Well I can't really think of much more to say so I shall leave you with a quote that I said to Emma yesterday... "that's coz you have more faith in me than the average flintstone!"

Bunny World!

Nemo and I are walking walking walking on our usual morning walk when we spy a cat crouched down in the gutter.. looking like its getting ready to strike at something. Of course Nemo and I being our curious selves looked over to what the cat was preying on to discover it was 2 adult and 1 baby bunnies.. which I assume would be the mummy and daddy bunny with their little baby bunny. The baby bunny must have got startled by Nemo and I walking.. not that we were walking to wards then.. but I guess just hearing us is bad enough and anyways the baby bunny took off while.. we will say this one is the mummy bunny.. mummy bunny was keeping a watchful eye on the cat and the other bunny.. who we say is daddy bunny.. or maybe even aunty bunny.. I just dunno.. but anyways daddy bunny was also keeping an eye on the cat but more so on baby bunny.. so Nemo and I make noise while walking.. baby bunny takes off.. daddy bunny takes off after baby bunny and mummy bunny is left playing the staring game with the cat. I stop walking.. daddy bunny and baby bunny come to a halt behind a tree.. which is good coz now the cat can't see them and then mummy bunny stops the stare down and turns around to see that baby bunny is gone! You then see her head dart around a few times.. in my guess trying to locate her beloved baby bunny and then gives one last look back at the cat before bouncing off towards daddy bunny and baby bunny. Nemo and I start walking again and as we get closer and closer to the cat it crouches down in the gutter more and more.. this is the cat that usually jumps out at Nemo and scares him a little.. and Nemo thought.. AHA! Your time has come and as we got up close to the cat Nemo did this little lunge the cat and the cat took off in a big hurry! Afterwards Nemo had a little spring in his step and I am just happy that the cat didn't catch baby bunny.. even though I know bunnies are pests.. they are still cute and do entertaining things for me on my walks.

WTF?

Wow... what a weekend! I was absolutely buggered when I got home on Saturday night and then Sunday I was walking around in a hazey daze! Today.. I am just unsure how I feel.. as I had a really bad sleep.. or well lack of sleep. I had trouble getting to sleep and then I managed to doze off and start dreaming of being in a field of flowers.. gawd knows why.. but then I managed to wake myself up by sneezing! WTF? So then I went back to the having trouble getting to sleep part.. there I was laying there all freaken annoyed listening to Emma sleeping not so soundly!

Saturday we headed off to Malmo nice and early, with Nemo in tow. We went to go and check out Jenny's new apartment she got with her man.. it was very large and rather nice.. I would totally live in Malmo if Emma and I had a nice big place like that! It was so big that Nemo just had no idea what to do with himself in there.. he was wandering around a little lost to start with.

On our way to Jenny's place we saw a few crazy monster geese and their youngens.. they would hiss and stuffs at us as we walked by.. Emma took a couple of pics.. and here is one!I must admit the youngens are so very cute.. especially when they still have all the fluff. I was just a little paranoid that they would decide to chase me.. geese are freaken crazy! and I mean CRAYZEEEE! He will be waiting a long time if he thinks that statue is going to feed him!We left Nemo at Jenny's and headed off into town to do a spot of shopping.. as you well know I need some new shoes.. do you even think I could find a pair? If you said no then you would be correct! I was a little sad about it.. I just don't get why they don't have decent Jo shoes!! Its a bit shit. Another thing that is a bit shit is that we witnessed an asshole try to snatch an old ladies bag.. he was on a bike and rode past her and grabbed hold of the bag.. which we didn't actually see unfold.. first we heard the crashing sound as the ass hole lost control of his bike and crashed into the ground.. after he had knocked the old lady over too.. then he got up and tried to take off.. people started swearing and cussing him out.. one lady even threw a lemon at him.. which went nowhere near.. but it was the thought that counts right? He then rode his bike directly into the middle of a stationary van parked on the side of the road.. he kinda went splat against the back window.. it amused me. Once again he picked himself up and shock it off and rode off rather slowly... I guess he actually hurt himself.. good I say! While I was watching all that unfold Emma and another lady were tending to the old lady.. who was 80 years of age.. luckily she wasn't physically hurt but she seemed a little shaky on her feet. I just don't get why petty theives feel the need to pray on the elderly.. are they really that cowardly in their life of very petty crime to pray on the weaker ones? Is it really worth it? With seeing it happen, it really made me feel good about the fact that I don't have a handbag and that I shall never have one either.. I will stick to 'If it can't fit in my pockets then it can stay home!' Luckily I don't need to take many things with me on a daily basis.. phone, wallet, keys, dogpoopie bags(when Nemo is in tow).. that is really all I need.. lol

After all the excitement of shopping etc.. Emma and I headed back to have some lunch before heading off to be cheerleaders for the few who were running a race.. ok we weren't exactly cheerleaders.. we were just their to show our support and do a heck of a lot of walking around.. to try and get into good spots to take a few pics. Nemo had a ball.. all the people.. all the walking.. all the fresh air.. but one thing he didn't like was Dizzy.. she scares him poopless! Poor little fella.. but he was fine with her as we were out and about and he had so much more to take in.. and Jenny liked to walk so fast that she would leave us all behind.. I guess she likes walking alone.

Tired yet happy as larry!While watching the race I was surprised at how many people would try to cross the path where the runners were going.. while the runners were actually coming.. a few times I thought there were going to be some bad connections.. but luckily it didn't happen.. it really does make me think that this world is getting filled to the brim with really stupid people.. how hard is it to just wait until the race is over.. or even wait for a big gap between runners! I even saw one guy riding his freaken bike right where the runners were meant to go and getting in their way.. seriously man WTF are you thinking? and another WTF are you thinking moment can only be described by showing you this pic... click the pic to see it big.. you know you wanna!!!After everyone had finished.. we wandered around trying to locate everyone.. which was a little harder than you would think.. why it wasn't mentioned to all meet at a certain point afterwards is beyond me.. but eventually we found everyone and headed back to Jenny's to watch the soccer match.. sadly Sweden lost to Spain by letting them score in the last 2mins.. it was a sad sad state of affairs indeed.. it was also a little bit of torture to have dill crisps sitting on the table.. and I could smell them.. and I could smell them even more as Emma ate them! but I was good and refrained.. only 1 week to go! This is my final week.. GO ME! I at least got to eat some VERY yummy bread with avocado on it.. and that was even better than dill crisps.. or well thats what I am saying now coz it makes me feel better.. but I really did want to just dig into those yummy yummy dill crisps! Although in saying that they were the low fat ones.. which aren't as nice as the other ones.. and they weren't crinklecut.. its all about the crinkle!

After the match.. off we went.. to catch the train home.. so drained and tired.. the train ride seemed to take forever and Emma wasn't really in the mood for talking so it didn't speed things up at all.. but we eventually made it home and got tucked up nicely in bed and both slept like babies.. I didn't wake up a single time the whole night and then I got up to around 7:15am to take Nemo out.. which Emma seemed less than impressed about.. but hey I didn't force her out of bed!! oh no no I did not! But we got up and started our day.. walking Nemo.. dealing with the parentals computer and then foodage shopping.. before Emma headed off to her Nikon course and left me all alone.. which wasn't too bad.. and she has Friday off so that makes up for it.. I'm used to being alone 5 days a week! lol

Its raining today and that is just totally uncool! and I mean totally uncool.. it always seems to rain when Nemo is getting trimmed and we need him to be nice and dry! *raises fist at the sky*

I am both happy and sad today. *pouts*

Happy because... it is Friday and it means I get to hang with Emma and do fun stuff instead of being home with Nemo ignoring me.. which he took to a whole new level yesterday! The little punk!

Sad because... I just discovered that one of my most favourite websites no longer exists! I would go there everyday and look at all the yummy foodage and get ideas on what to make but as of today it is no longer and for that I am left wondering where I am going to get my fix from. I only had a short time with tastespotting.com but it was a good time. tastespotting.com you will be greatly missed.

I think Emma must have changed my blue water drinking cup with a spill cup.. coz I have just taken 2 drinks and each time I have spilt it on myself! Totally uncool Emma!! Why would you do such a thing? You can deny it all you like.. but it is the only explanation that there is as to why I keep spilling water on myself when I drink! coz we all know how I have the best coordination!!

Well not much has been happening here in the land of my living room and surrounding areas.. although I did have a branch fall on me the other day and it hurt my head and arm.. and gave me a fright but I got over it quickly.. coz really that is what one must do. I baked some oatmeal cookies (which of course I cannot eat until the 23rd) the other night coz I was so bored and Emma was playing her/our new Wii game.. Indiana Jones! I can't really say that I have an interest in playing it myself. Maybe I should and that will help take my mind of that loss of tastespotting.com. Umm the weather hasn't been the best but the rain has been needed and it hasn't rained nearly enough to complain.. except it seemed to rain each time I was actually out with Nemo.. which wasn't the nicest but at the end of the day it is only rain. It seems to be a nice day today.. mid teens, which is enough.. argh and now I have the hiccups!

Yesterday Emma came home with a gift for little ole me!

It was the album titled.. 'Kleerup'

I have listened to it all morning and done all my housework to it.. I have had it on repeat.. now I do have to say I quite like it. Sometimes it is nice to not actually have to listen to a song with words.. I'm not saying that there were no words at all in any of the songs.. just a few didn't have it and they are pretty good.. I do have to say though, it is not a good album to listen to when on an exercise bike.. especially the no words part! lol I am not a huge fan of 'dance, electronic' music but I do like the odd bit and all in all I really do like the album.. but maybe it is not to everyones taste. That is however the natural order of things!

I just love it when Emma buys me stuff.. especially when it is totally unexpected.. actually I just like getting unexpected stuff. I think its better to get unexpected stuff than it is to get expected stuff.. although in saying that I want new shoes and I am sure that I will actually be excited when I finally go to Malmö to try and find a pair.. all the places here don't have a decent selection for Jo.. I am afterall VERY fussy! To my defence though.. there really is just a shit selection here.. they are either really fem or really manly.. and I want something a little inbetween.. as I am neither of those two extremes! lol Ahh something will come up.. it always does.

Yesterday Emma and I went and fed the ducks, once we arrived we discovered that there was a duckling missing.. which is kinda sad, but I guess it is just the natural order of things. At least there are still 2 left and they seemed to really enjoy the bread that I made special for them! Coz I am so nice like that! I would like to know where all the other ducklings and mummy ducks are though, they just don't seem to be anywhere and I want to see more ducklings coz they are so very cute! I had one duck who was eating right out of my hand.. it was just awesome! I just love feeding the ducks.. it always makes me feel all happy inside.. except when Emma says that she doesn't have any poo bags and I have to just go and dump my bread out so she can use my bread bag for Nemo's poopie! AND then she actually finds the poo bags in her pocket AFTER I have dumped my bread out! I'm not so happy inside then! Luckily it has happened only once!!

Saturday Evening.. we get a call and invited out to take Nemo for a little swim with the J's and Dizzy. Of course we can't say no otherwise Nemo will be ever so sad.. so we get out shit together and head off to the water.. I must admit this water freaked me out a little.. ok a lot.. but Nemo had a ball and that was the main thing. At one point Nemo bit my toe thinking it was his stick! At another point Nemo acted like a duck and dunked his head right under the water looking for his stick.. it was pretty classic! DunkinNemo was he! Nemo just loves his stick!

There was one moment that made me wish I had a video camera.. which was when Dizzy was chasing Nemo and trying to jump on his back so that she didn't have to try and swim as she wasn't a confident swimmer.. and yes Dizzy is a dog.. a very cute dog.. noisy but cute.. and Nemo doesn't much like her.. I think she hurts his ears. lol but yeah.. I would really have liked to have got that recorded.. ahh well such is life.. it was funny enough to see and I can just replay it in my mind.. over and over and have a good giggle! Ahh nothing like a good giggle is there?

The weather over the weekend was soo wonderful.. nice and hot.. at times a little too hot but I am really enjoying it.. although this week it is apparently going to be a little cooler.. this morning actually got a little windy.. which was nice for a bit but then I had to close the balcony door coz I thought it was going to get ripped off.. and that would not be cool! I think I might enjoy the cooler weather for a little bit though.. just as long as it doesn't rain too heavily.. I don't mind if it rains.. coz we need it but I just don't want it to rain too heavily and for too many days lol

Rain can be quite soothing too.. I used to really enjoy walking in the rain. Maybe not so much now that I am an old fart but back in the days of young and stupidness, I would and could walk for hours in the rain. Having that nice warm shower when you come in from the rain almost makes you feel so complete and refreshed. A bit like how a Monday is supposed to feel.

I am seriously in Sweden? Right now it is 31.6 degrees.. unreal! So very warm it is!
The warmth really makes one feel a little tired.. but one really enjoys eating fresh strawberries on a hot day.. even though I don't have cream with them. We went and had a look around town today but nothing really jumped out and then we headed off to IKEA and I must say I was rather saddened by the lack of selection there was there.. so we didn't buy all that much.. just a few odds and ends and a much needed summer duvet. I was all excited at first when we arrived at IKEA to discover that they had a sale on.. but once we got inside it was like they had already been gutted and we had missed all the action.. ahh such is life I guess.. less money spent here is more money spent in Boston. LOL

Oh one thing that we did buy was... 12 wine glasses! We don't exactly drink wine.. but Emma thinks they will be good for doing portion sized puddings.. so I guess that makes it all very worth while.. coz you know we entertain so very often! o_O I guess we will just have to start...

I could really do with a nice cold ice cream today.. but alas I am still on my cleansing diet and that is very much not allowed.. only 2 weeks to go and I can be a real person again! lol Emma had a yummy ice cream yesterday.. or was it Thursday she had it? I forget.. the days just blend.. and I have only just realised.. about 20mins ago that today is actually Saturday.. not Sunday! I am ever so clever! *nods*

This week has been long long looooooooooong! It is only Thursday but thankfully the week is actually over.. well me being home alone is over at least so to me that means the week is over. I suppose you are wondering how so I shall tell you.. Emma did 5 1/2 hours overtime this week and then the trains were very late two of the days and only a little late yesterday.. so it really felt like the week had dragged on but luckily tomorrow is Sweden's national day so long weekend here we come! It also meant that Emma got a half day today too which was awesome.. we went and had a look around town, Emma got to eat some yummy as ice cream while I drooled! coz I am a gooood girl! Just over 2 weeks to gooo! YaY!

The weather has been so nice this week.. as much as I hate to say it though, we really are in need of some rain.. the lawns are starting to look like Australian lawns.. and that aint pretty my friends! It aint pretty indeed! I think Nemo is liking all the warmer weather too.. coz we aren't rushing to get home again. lol I was sitting watching the ducks yesterday, they really looked like they are enjoying the sun too.. ahhh summer.. what is there not to love? Well in Sweden there is one thing.. too much freaken light! its light when we go to bed and light when we wake up.. it messes with ya mind man!

Nemo was a little shit today.. I must admit it made me laugh so very much!! He did a runner down the stairs and he wouldn't come back when we called him, at one point he looked at me and turned around.. then went to come back up and then he thought.. "stuff you!" turned around and took off down the stairs some more.. then trusty Emma chased him and picked him and brought him back up the stairs and he grumbled all the way.. ahh so funny! Naughty but very funny! It is the first time he has ever done it! Little bugger.

Yesterday we.. or well.. Emma found a tick on Nemo.. and so we pulled the little sucker off.. I hate that sound that they make as they detatch from the skin, its so VERY yuck! Luckily Emma managed to get it all so Nemo is ok.. no yucky tick sickness! I guess the tick stuff we use doesn't make sure nothing gets on him.. and I think it doesn't help that Nemo just LOVES to run into every kind of bush and long grass he can find. So we have decided that he needs a haircut asap so that its easier to find any that might make it onto him. Another thing that made it onto him today was..... *drumrole* chewing gum! RAWR! how bloody annoying! He managed to walk most of it off and we cut some more of it off.. so now he will just have to walk off the rest of it. So gross.

Today was the day that they had a little parade thing for the students who graduated.. so there was a lot of whistle blowing and shouting and tractors! lol We went to go and get some cream for Emma to have with strawberries and it was a bloody mission to try and get through the crowd! At one point Nemo thought that a guy had candy in his hand and jumped up at him.. shocking!

All in all this week has been kinda long and kinda boring.. nothing overly exciting to report and nothing overly funny to write about. Or well a cat jumped out a Nemo.. that was pretty funny.. I do wonder what cats have against Nemo.. as he is more scared of them than anything! But yeah thats about it.

& so it is..

And so begins another month.. the 6th month actually.. only another 6 months and it will be another year gone. It really is just pure crazy how fast time seems to go on by. I remember back in the days of when I was at school, it all just seemed to drag on and on and ON! Now you blink and it seems that months go by and I feel more and more boring in my old(ish) age!

I must admit I felt kinda old yesterday, I was feeling the effect of the LOST walk. I was a little bit tight and achey.. especially in my back.. but all is good, I am feeling less tight today, mainly once I finished my morning bike. Nemo came in from the morning walk and went straight back to bed.. the lazy bones! and has only got up to eat since. Plus it is Monday and Nemo is always sad on a Monday coz his MummyEmma isn't there for him. The sad sack!

The weekend was beautiful, such wonderful weather. We went for the nice long walk as you already know if you read the LOST post.. and we had alook around town, it was slightly packed as there was a music festival happening along with some american car cruise. I tell ya there were many rather nice cars and MANY really shit ones that made you stop and think? Couldn't you have at least given it a paint job so it didn't look so shit? and then lets not get started on the noise and fumes.. and of course the annoying horns and the yelling coz everyone was so drunk. It went on for hours and I mean HOURS! I think at around 10pm when Emma and I took ourselves off to bed they were still going.. it was crazy! Personally I don't see the point in driving around for hours on end, but maybe I am looking at it from the wrong direction.. but yeah I can understand maybe doing a few laps.. 4 is a good number.. but many hours? come on!! It was pretty neat to be standing on our balcony and watching some of the rather nice cars drive on by.. there were a few REALLY funky ones. The older cars really do look classy.

I also did a little baking on the weekend.. I made some Quinoa muffins for Emma, coz I thought they might be a little healthier for her to eat in the mornings than the strawberry and chocolate muffins I usually make.. but I don't think she much liked them.. they are a bit weird.. maybe if there are any left in 3 weeks I will actually try one. They were interesting to make though, they smelt very sweet but I think that was more the vanilla essence and wow is it hard to buy vanilla essence here.. I have to buy a little sachet of it coz they don't have them in bottles, maybe when we are in Boston I will remember to pick up a bottle. Umm I also made a coffee cake, which didn't turn out anything like the picture, but it seems that every time I make someone from a swedish recipe it never quite turns out right. Emma's family enjoyed it but Emma was the critic once again and didn't like it very much coz it was too dense. I think if I was to ever make it again I wont use raw sugar, coz it just doesn't cream well with butter and I think that made it too heavy and maybe use a lighter flour? But then again I might not ever make it again.. as it was all strange.. the icing was way too runny.. I tipped half of it out and then added some extra icing sugar to try and stiffen it up.. it worked some but it looked nothing like the pic. I need to have a baking weekend where I just bake and bake and bake.. coz I am really getting this urge to do it.. baking is fun! Maybe oneday I will be able to afford one of those spunky KitchenAid Stand mixers! Like this one!! Cooking however is not something I enjoy.

We didn't do much yesterday, just hung out at home and spent a few hours at the parentals, my cooking services were put to use. Their pool was at like 30deg and of course I did not go in.. Me+Swimming=BadMix! LOL I'm much better in the kitchen!

So it appears we have new neighbours who we share a wall with and well they are noisy as all shit.. since they moved in they have been noisy noisy noisy! We have let it go but Friday night just totally took the cake, they had the music so loud it was like we were playing it ourselves in our own place. Emma called the agent but they didn't have any security for this area.. UMMM hello?? WTF is our rent meant to cover? They told us to call the police and complain.. and it was like.. yeah right like the police are going to do anything with a music festival happening and all that! Morons! and plus its hard enough to get the cops to deal with serious crimes! So Emma emailed a complaint to the office and hopefully they will have words with the morons today or this week at least.. I wont hold my breath! Then after sending the email she got the hammer and banged on the wall until they lowered the music.. I didn't actually think it would work but it did and then I guess they went elsewhere coz there was no sound at all. I just don't get why people find it so hard to be considerate of others? Do they seriously think that they are the only ones that matter? If you are gonna play music that loud then go and live in a house in the middle of nowhere, where you have to walk 5-10mins down the road to get to a neighbour! Consideration costs nothing! Seriously... Is it really that hard?
